.. .. .. .. .. .. the current guidance on the laws in uk have certainly helped a lot in this process of evolution.
{mode=politicalpessimist}I just hope that the potential impending vassalage to the USA resulting from a no-deal Brexit does not include reverting to transatlantic attitudes to nakedness.

Personally I much prefer Free Range Naturism to Secret Naturism.   For those of you who prefer to hide, go right ahead.
I'll vote for that.

naturist , naturalist or nudist.... everyone can have their own take on it.

for me ill use my orchard ,   the grass under the trees is getting long , the naturalist would leave the mower in the shed and spend a few hours watching  the insects on the flowers and rotten fruit, the nudist would get out the petrol powered ride on mower , shed their clothes and mow the lot so it looks nice and tidy.  the naturist would get out the battery electric mower , charged up from solar, mow a few paths for easy access but leave the patches of flowers for the insects and butterflies, then wonder where hed left his shorts.
 ;D
Got it in one - may I have permission to use this elsewhere.

Had my colonoscopy last week. One second an anesthesiologist was unscrewing the syringe of propofol from the port in my hand and the next a nurse was yelling at me to wake up. Time flies when you're having fun. I had one benign polyp and have to repeat the process in 5 years. The worst part of the whole process was having to drink all that laxative the day before.
I have been wide awake with no drugs used for the many colonoscopy session that I have had and I was able to watch the monitor screen throughout.

As an aside to this - my wife has only ever felt uncomfortable about male attention from a married man who was with his naturist wife.
This was definitely not an approach from a swinger couple but simply bad behaviour. Our experience of being approached by swingers has been polite, low key and without any pressure whatsoever.

The well behaved have facilities withdrawn because of the badly behaved yet again.

Here's to that time, guys.  Keep it in mind, I will, and it might come about.  I have had considerable benefit over the years from setting targets/goals.  If you have them, you make them come about.  Not always, true, but not having targets means you don't achieve stuff except by accident.
John
If you have goals you can make them come about.
If you don't you can't.

Naked is certainly not gender neutral . . .
There is no such thing as a gender neutral person. It only exists in people’s minds and increasingly, the law.

You  have reminded me of a clause in a 19th century Act of Parliament which stated ( if I recall correctly):
"The masculine shall embrace the feminine whenever the context allows."

You get a general anaesthetic for colonoscopy in the US, Duane?  What luxury.
John, my guess is they do that just make the procedure run smooth by keeping people from physically and emotionally reacting. Other than that, I’ve no clue. No one asked what I wanted. SOP I guess.

Duane

With the advent of the new short acting drugs it has been found that not only is it easier on the patients as it relates to discomfort, anxiety, vital signs like blood pressure and general well being but it is easier on the doctors to probe without fear of causing pain. It may be a luxury but a welcome one
Agreed, but I'd still rather watch the monitor and have fewer drugs used on me.

I got the gown but not the panties.
Same here - and I got to watch the monitor screen while they did it.

We don't care if the whole population adopts social nudity.  We only care if the whole population becomes TOLERANT of social nudity.  Let them have their clothes.  They need to let us live without ours.
The best post of the lot.

It has been said many times that the last person you want in a police force is somebody who would apply for the job.

Complementary is a better word than alternative.   The pills and surgeons knife complement the natural lifestyle  but are there as a last resort
As one physician said to me about surgeons: "The operation was a success bu the patient died."

Introductions / Re: Hello - It's cold outside now!
« on: December 24, 2018, 11:05:51 PM »
It's definitely not too cold for outdoor nudity but the weather is far too miserable for me to want to stay outside for longer than necessary.
In spit of this I managed to trim down the meadow flower slope opposite our dining room windows earlier this week.
