Fantastic scenery and how wonderful to have such positive interactions with fellow walkers

I'll have to look up where that region is.

I know running any website is time consuming and not always as rewarding as it first starts out. Especially after a long time of managing the site

Hopefully someone has the tenacity, wherewithal and resources to be able to provide the service for the rest of us

Mark,
I note in the picture you posted, you are barefoot.  Can you negotiate whole hikes barefoot either from the point of view of resilience of feet and for avoiding unseen hazards?  If so, how marvellously freeing that must feel. If it were me, I wouldn't wear a watch either!
John

Hi John.. it's mostly soft ground nearby. The woodland can be a bit tricky but no more than you would expect in a woodland. The track the passes the house is worst barefoot, but still completely manageable.

The wonderous thing about that day was that I left the house already naked . I wouldn't have been able to do that back in the UK.

Life is good.

I don't wear a watch either. The item on my wrist is a couple of beads.

Hopefully there's more to come and a place to be able to talk about such adventures

I get this a lot..

Some punctuation marks make the rest of any text disappear after writing it and I see a broken link for all the emoticons images. If I try to add a smile or other emoji it breaks.
No exclamation or question marks either.

Tried using a VPN to be in the US bit all to no avail

Yes France in spring is great
How I remember this time of year as a child..

Not the grey cold time of year it seems to have become in my native country.

However

Well hopefully April will be even better!

And winters aren't too long.. end of January was pleasant, February grey and cold but from middle of this month it's improved

So spring has sprung in a big way and with afternoon temperatures hitting the mid 20 degrees celcius with clear blue skies. I took the opportunity of an afternoon to myself to take a short wander.

Not very far and only for about 30 minutes, but it was as exhilarating as it always has been.

After walking to the edge of our land(it's just over an acre and a half) I hopped over the fence and crossed a large grass field. Still damp underfoot in places, but the grass is still short from the last time it was grazed.

From there there is a small woodland, that felt cool and shaded from the surprisingly warm sunshine.
Very damp on the ground but at this time of year, it's not too overgrown.

After crossing the woods I picked up a dirt track that took me back home. Not much risk of seeing anyone, although we do get the odd dirtbike, cyclist or walkers on there.

Fortunately I saw no one today and completely a lovely first walk of the year.. completely naked from start to finish.

I love this time of year.

Can't see it happening to be honest...

Too many people in these unenlightened times have too many issues with sexuality and body consciousness.

It's no further on than events like Woodstock in the 60s and even concerts at bands like the Doors..

21st century humans have lost the plot!

Although the name of this beach doesn't really feel very enticing!

How thick are those rock walls? I'd think that the inner wall would store some of the heat and radiate it back. It does have a wonderful rustic fun look.

The stone wall is approx 2ft thick.. local stone that had been there since the house was built... ie along time!
