I live in Virginia and high humidity is normal, even more so further south. I think a fair amount of acclimatization takes place. In other words, you get used to it as the seasons pass. In the spring, a day with a given temperature might feel warmer than the same day in late fall. But my father used to say that if you were dressing for the warmer weather that we weren't actually having yet, you were "pushing the season." But the days are longer in the spring, too.

I guess it might be a matter of what you want it to be. Or as it said on the cover of a Fjäll Räven catalog several years ago, "Cold at last!"

I'm moving out of my strawbale house. The heat pump is broken and it is up to the buyer to fix it. So, I'm living with no heat. The house efficiently stays at temperature ,but if it doesn't heat up it stays efficiently cold. The temperature outside has been 65 down to freezing every day for more than a month. There is no wind in here and the humidity isn't so bad. There is only some sun heat radiating through windows. It is thirties to sixties.

IT"S COLD all the time.

If I go outside, the sun on my back makes all of the difference, or stand in window light. Packing 25 years of life takes time, but the movement helps. Keeping in my body heat helps, but it is certainly stuffy in clothing for a nudist with my preferences, habits and conditioning.

Sunshine is wonderful.

ANY, ever so slight breeze in cold makes a big difference.

So, it is evident that temperature alone isn't what it is about, but coupled with humidity, temp, wind, sunshine, etc.

Dry heat is much more tolerable than humid heat and a light breeze, shade and/or full nudity makes incredible difference.

So goes my experience. I've been thinking of running a log experiment observation of me getting out and running, walking each day for 365, to see how a nude body reacts to the worlds variations.

Also, a cold smoothie is chilling in the cold and wonderful in the heat.

Today, we do a sauna at about 180, dry and extreme humidity for our health.

All complex.

We've downsized into a flat in the village, still got the paddock, orchard and old farm buildings with polytunnels, veg patch and mobile home.  We're flitting between the two roughly when the clocks change in October and March. So far we've had a mild wet January the flat hovers around 16/17 degrees c with no heating on , fine in joggers and a jumper for a naked wander to the bathroom at 3am.
Spent a few hours naked one sunny morning last week clearing a bit of a polytunnel and shovelling a compost heap in. Soil needs to dry out a lot before I can start on the outside get beds. But soon be time to plant broad beans in pots inside.

It's monsoon. It's pretty darn hot, 90F's mostly, but a few hours 100F to 105F. The two things combine during this season. It feels humid. Nothing like other places, but we may get 40% to 60%.

I remember living in Gulfport , Mississippi and showering, getting dressed and then 60 feet from my door finding myself soaking wet. I didn't spend time there nude, but I have lots of nude humidity comparison here to the occasion when I'll get some clothing on.

During the brunt of Monsoon, with clothing, I'm in the shower and changing outfits at least daily, if outside. Inside my house is fine because the nudity has the air-conditioner set at 78 to 85. That however, is actually pretty uncomfortable in clothes.

I had the gas company doing inspections the other day, so I put on a pair of cut off sweat pants. It was very uncomfortable, icky, sweaty. When they left, it was a wholly wonderful comfortable contrasting experience to be about nude.

We're not meant to wear clothing when it is hot, especially humid. Our bodies are amazingly adapted to adjust to extreme heat.

I also have noticed when the heat is up and the sun beats down, the ground gets hot, but not as hot as artificial surfaces like concrete, concrete block even painted wood burns feet, instead of natural wood.We are better adapted to natural surfaces, dirt and grass. Our man-made environment is unhealthy. The surfaces are hard on feet and set up for unhealthy shoes that cause all sorts of problems. The concrete sucks the natural moister out of feet, drying them out, No telling what the acidic chemical reaction is. One can be branded on hot unnatural surfaces.

Anti-nudity laws are unnatural and therefore just plainly wrong.

unnatural-man-made objects, like vinyl and crome, and streering wheels in cars can be hazardous to bare skin. We were never designed to handle these unnatural features, BUT...check out this video about three minutes in:

Yes, that was in Tucson, baked bread.

At chest height, one summer, in my garage, where I was storing the sauna thermometer, it read 140F. I set up my new canvas tent in there one day to wet, seal and shrink it by spraying/soaking it down with water. The garage turned into a very hot wet sauna from the humidity!

Just gotta stay naked.

I understand about camping tents in the sunshine.  A couple of years ago I attended a Pagan gathering in southern Illinois.  The weather got hot, and my tent was unbearable all afternoon.  I ended up laying out naked under a tree.

I have found that driving naked with the top down in my car requires at least 80F (27C) to feel comfortable.  All the vinyl seats get hot in the sun while parked, but so do leather seats.  Temperatures over100 are nice sometimes, but rare around here.

Our extreme's here run more to cold than hot.  I don't enjoy being naked less than 60F (16C), and not even that cold unless I"m active.  .

Oh yes, you can drive a car with two fingers and be branded by a metal seat-belt hook-up, especially in a convertible. My ol' girlfriend had a white convertible Mustang with a black top. Ouch! Naked? Never! Even the poorly insulated top would heat up like a tent. But, it was just sooo much fun to drive that pony car!

DF and I unless necessary, only use the bug net of our tents, leaving the top off. There are those star, the night air, and being in nature. We can bundle up well if it gets cold. It is healthy to breathe around 65F air when sleeping. The sun will roast things, so we may put the top on. The bags and vinyl and even the fleece capes get hot on a bare body. Ventilation is key. Shade is important during the day.
