I don't remember you from SNS but that's my geiratric old memory probably!!
Welcome to our 'new' home* and I hope you discover both some old friends from SNS and some new ones from FRN!
As I am wont to remark on these occasions, with a sad nostalgia, many of our valued old TSNS friends have departed the forum.
How did you find us, Denlyn, as a matter of interest?

Hi John,
Actually, I was reading a message on the Naktiv forum and someone said that the Secret Naturist Society members were on Free Range Naturism page.
I was familiar with Free Range but not a member, well until now. When I saw Jbee's post about the SNS handbook, it brought back a lot of memories.

Over what period were you a member of SNS, Denlyn?
I joined in 2007 and stayed till the end.
I often wonder what happened to it - maybe Lookee that hosted the URL couldn't or didn't pay the URL fee.  Maybe something happened to him.  I don't think he was a member of other forums such as Naturist Corner.
Be good to hear who you remember and what you remember of The SNS.

I often miss Milfmog. I'd like to know how his sauna came out, anymore road trips, the dogs. I miss his camaraderie.

I'm also a little bad when it comes to remembering things. I think it might have been around 2009 maybe 2010. I was not very active. I didn't post a whole lot. One day I clicked on the link and it was gone. A lot of naturist sites have come and gone, the same way. It could be that they get too big or too expensive to maintain. But I feel most of the time it's because of the content. I suppose some hosts get a little nervous about pictures of naked people, stored on their servers.
I'm not too good with names either, but I do remember lookee, and I think I remember jbeegoode. I also remember nightrider, who I think is on this site.

I miss Ian Milfmog too, particularly since he and I met several times (3, I think).  I often wonder why he just stopped posting after all those years of high volume contribution.  I got a lot of guidance and encouragement from him too on the forum in my more tentative years. I'll have to have a peek on Naturist Corner, see if he is posting from there.  See if we can entice him back here occasionally.
We haven't heard from Paul Nightrider for some years now - he was moderator of TSNS and a thoroughly good egg! 
Come to think of it we haven't heard anything from JOhnGW of late.
I hope they are all OK even though we don't hear from them.

JohnGw is often on Naturist Corner, though never mentions Ernest, think he must have given up canal boating (though that may just be a Covid thing). If Ian contributes it’s under a different name, haven’t heard from him in an age, though when I googled Milfmog one time I found him on a car owners’ forum site, I think.

You surmise correctly, Peter.  JOhnGW sold Ernest a few years ago.  I think a combination of unable to manage it with his bad knee and reducing opportunity to use the boat.  I visited it once moored up in a basin a short while before he sold it.  Very nice comfortable, well appointed and well maintained vessel.   Wish I'd has the opportunity to navigate with him a bit.  We did plot this at one time to join the boat somewhere and journey with him for a day but we never found a mutually free moment (and at the time JOhn had reduced his navigating in favour of popping off to warmer climes).
