Deep stuff with a seasoning of joy, there, Jbee!
I wish my forays were so unhindered by the need to keep alert for encounters so that similarly my soul could commune unhindered with my surroundings.
Mind you I was hugging a tree in a forest the other day (fully clothed, cold day) and I felt what I haven't felt for some time but what I felt for the first time when I was naked in another forest - the earth energy and communion with the natural surroundings.
I guess I got rather used to it and also with rather fewer forays in recent years noticed it less, rather removed from that wonderful feeling.  I must make efforts to get closer again.

Yea, if I don't get out there in nature, I loose something essential.

Just my self observation from city living in this year's winter time.

Nature is my church. It's where I feel closest to existential energy. When I quote Dolly Parton, "It doesn't matter what church you got, it matters that you go!" I'm talking, personally,  about the forest, beach or desert. Sharon just rolls her eyes.

We just spent three days in a serene forest at the base of the Huachuca Mountains. First day, into the night, I couldn't hear the silence for the ringing in my city noise ears. Next morning, all was calm, mind was clear and here and now and it was heavenly.
I just sat with it, then walked with it and sat some more.

I think that you got it right Safebare.
