Hello, hi
« on: March 03, 2023, 03:29:23 AM »
I had lived in Tucson for several years and only recently gotten back into naturism. I used to get naked in the forest around my hometown and go walking or mountain biking when I was growing up. I've been living in the Northeast for the past year. Spent some time at The Ledges in southern Vermont, but didn't have enough time or chances to visit the other beaches around here.

I'll hopefully be moving back to Tucson soon and plan to continue doing naturist stuff. I have a few areas on my short-term bucket-list (I don't know what type of list you would call that. My pail list?) like Black's Beach, Verde Hot Springs (if it's reopened from the fire yet), and so on, but I would love some specific suggestion on where to freehike in the Southwest. I've mostly been to Reddington Pass and just a few random other areas. Anyone willing to share any locations where I could hike a ways and not have to worry about running into others? The closer to Tucson the better. I've read jbee's blog every now and then over the years, it might be where I first learned about Tanque Verde, but I haven't sifted through this forum much yet. Let me know if there's any other good resources I should be tapping into.

Thanks! And happy trails!

Moving to Vermont! I think I remember meeting you. I couldn't fathom anyone doing that while sitting at the Redington nude zone.

Yup. My site is a good place to look. All you have to do is look up how to get there. HikeArizona. something will pop up numerous times as a source of information about hiking areas. Good place to look up most of our hikes.

Hello, Dianthus.

I can help you with some areas in the southwest and mainly in Southern California. Yes, I agree Black's Beach should be on your list.

Also, Deep Creek Hot Springs and De Anza Springs resort in Jacumba. De Anza Springs is just under a five hour drive from Tucson yet well worth the drive. The place is clothing optional and you can hike nude all day in the surrounding hills and desert. There is no need to bring clothes along at all. You can safely leave them in your car, campsite or rental unit.

There is also a lot of BLM wilderness land in So. Cal that is clothing optional. Literally, hundreds of thousands of acres.  The most popular BLM wilderness for nude recreation is the Mecca Hills.

I can fill you in on the best times to visit these places and which trails are the best for access to Black's Beach etc.

My email is jaybirden81@yahoo.com if you would like to contact me there. I don't always log in to free range naturists.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Jim

Wecome, Dianthus.97 - I'm over in the north of England so can't help with your questions, but hope to see frequent posts from you about your adventures.
