I'm afraid I haven't experienced your problem either, Bob.
Seems to be working fine for me.
There are 3 issues that occur to me that might be a factor
1. Your internet speed is very slow. This happens to me at times - the supply of bandwidth just falls off a cliff for a while, don't know why, probably high local demand. With slow bandwidth the web pages may not be able to load properly.
2. If you have a microsoft /windows driven PC the Windows update often occupies 100% of the computers resources whilst it is downloading and installing. It's a dead nuisance and happens monthly for me and usually on a Tuesday or Wednesday.
Sadly there's little or nothing one can do about these except recognise them and avoid them. Issue 1 you can recognise by having an internet speed checker such as Speeedtest - simple to use and easy to install - it tells you the absolute obvious (speed ok and working vs slow not working) but at least you can be pretty sure it's that causing it and enables you to check when speed returns.
Issue 2 again you can see if it's happening by looking at Settings/windows update.
3. Your computer may be gunked up. That can be addressed with cleaning programmes such as C.Cleaner, or your anti-virus programme may have that function attached.
Hope that's useful and that I'm not teaching my grandmother to suck eggs (is that just a UK idiom? Do you understand it?
) and unwittingly being a bit patronising.
Best regards, granny!
