Roskuge Mountains

We took out into the desert west of Tucson to explore the Roskuge Mountains. I'd found a way on satellite photos. There is a spot that I have taken off hiking to from Terra Sante intentional community, attempting to get to, but haven't reached. So I thought that I'd find a way to drive it and check out some of the rest on a near perfect day.

Some goals met, but not the elusive peaks. I now have several hikes set to do at some future time. Maybe when the spring flowers pop out. The area has some wonderful bloomings. I've included a link to a climbing site that has extensive descriptions and it has links to topo maps, too. Just about as far from Tucson as Tortolita, 30 to 40 minutes drive, these will be a handy spot to go, especially when it is Tucson winter and too many people are out. AND as the tale declares, on Tuesdays there's a sweat out there!

Saguaros really are remarkable plants.

Yes, they stand out prominently, getting our attention and then produce wonders, varieties, etc. as we get to know them better. Their habits, seasons, singing, and personalities then make us fall in love with them. Then, like most other desert life, they feed us.

It would be nice to be able to wind back time now and then wouldn't it!

I dunno...My hands always feel full in the general moment and the future is apparently very busy. That's plenty. One day, I'd like to wander back to a few spots in Europe, people pop up, stuff will happen. We'll all see how it unfolds. The past...been there done that.

I just read the above again today. Anybody have any idea what I was on about? I have been having some severe neck and back pain issues. That was the day it hurt so bad and constant that I took medication. Feeling better, now.

Anyway, it is nice to have photo records with so many memories.

You were saying you live in the here and now and that makes good sense. The future is unknowable and the past is gone.. good and bad memories linger , but day to day existence is forgotten.
