Muley Point: Morning: Bears Ears II

We begin our first day of our journey into the unknown Bears Ears National Monument at daybreak. It portends amazing experiences. From this day forward, we tended to get up with the sun, ya snooze, ya loose.

This first section contains reflections within overwhelming spectacle, ie. several fun pics. It takes place during our morning.

In the next post publishing, the day will continue and wander through a few miles of the natural Earth feeling like another world in many ways, but then again we seem to fit right in, so it must be home. Give me a few days to get that one in.

Oh my oh my oh my....
What a wonderful location.  Probably the most spectacular in all your wanderings, Jbee and DF.
It makes the grand canyon look a bit tame (and I've been there!).  Why isn't Muley point considered a national treasure in the same way?
I gasped in admiration at your pictures on the blog.  The US is truly a remarkable place.

It is a part of Bears Ears National Monument. Obama designated it after 8 years of haggling between parties. Trump didn't think that 87% of it was worth being a National Monument and did the selfish political thing, pleasing the donor money and Chamber of Commerce and like interests. By the time this series is presented, you'll see what a wrong ruthless pig Trump had been. Now it is back by the signature of Biden, but in lawsuits. Grand Canyon that you saw has been around to long to mess with and it makes lots of money and no mineral wealth. Nobody can touch it.

It is also averages about a 4000 ft. deep. This place is only around 1200 to the first level and another 1300 deeper from there. I don't think that the view is comparable at Grand Cyn, but I'm pleased that this place is less known and remote. There is no getting naked and finding quiet at the bigger one. No solitude, less color. Bigger isn't better. Then, there's location.
