The crows told us when to awaken generally. It would depend on what time we went to bed. We'd intend to sleep all that we pleased and stretch all that we pleased.
We'd get out of the tent around time for the sun to poke over the hill to the east, illuminating the trees above and the beams of light would warm us, or when the world outside would be compelling. We always had the top off, just the net-tent topping, so we were outside essentially all night and into the morning, just cozy heavy blankets, or we'd toss them aside. By the clock...irrelevant. I did have an old watch with an alarm set for 7:14 for years, that I didn't know how to change. We'd wake up around that time, often.
