Hello from Western Canada
« on: August 08, 2024, 07:45:29 PM »
I am a very new naturist, getting used to life as much without clothes as I can. I enjoy early morning (dawn) hikes on trails near my home with my two dogs. I am getting used to the morning chill--having hiked pretty much daily since early April with less and less clothing as the weather has risen above freezing. The wind, sun, and even rain (and one time, snow) on my skin is a delicious experience. The connection to the forest around me is what I feel most.

My experiences nude have been solitary to the present, but I look forward to social, non-sexual activities and meetings in future. Thanks for reading, Barefoot.

Do you hike barefoot and now barefoot all over? There are threads here discussing that. My website also has a series of articles on barefooting and minimal shoes.

The body has a tremendous ability to adjust to various temperatures when nude. It often works better than clothing.Your progressive seasonal weather experiences are a unique opportunity. Have you taken any notes of the experience and your body's adaptation? We have had people here that have walked their dogs each and every morning nude for years.

Perhaps I am a bit of a wimp, but my feet, usually bare, are not yet ready for 10k with the dogs in the mornings (maybe I'm still asleep?). At any rate, I use sock-shoes for the morning hike and am barefoot when allowed (even at work--where I have a very understanding boss). I am happy and looking forward to reading the hiking experiences of others--I have not journalled the experience myself.

I see by your screen name that you enjoy being without shoes.  I am also a 24/7 natural foot person.   I'm located in Washington State, USA, about 100 miles south of Canada.

My mother's side of my family is in BC, but I don't see them much any more.  Vancouver has had a popular nude beach for a long time.   My last trip to Canada my son and I spent some time in the Yukon.
