I see reason to care for more than freedom for body acceptance, which is itself important. It is consistent with caring about the world and its future, in which people including those after us can have the freedom in a meaningful way. So then we cannot with that be satisfied with letting species and wildlife still dying off with this real extinction rate

Clothing closes us off from our natural world and our identity with it. Being nude brings that awareness of elements back, and our nature, our natural humanity to the fore. We're just another piece of nature, not apart. Clothing is another reinforcement of the detachment. It helps create the illusion that we are special and more wise than we are. Clothing helps us to live in an artificial world, completely disrupted with no ecology and much less depth and also helps to create and perpetuate life without natural guidelines. Our nature repressed, our natural world repressed.

I like this F.BareSoul: "About body repression, it is worsening us and all our culture. We individually get repressed from it, and generally nudity is sexualized, and as many do not measure up to a cultural standard there is widespread body-shaming being applied." Yes, in a nutshell, well put.

Indeed, I see there is illusion people have from clothing of being other than who and what they are, as such, living a lie is enabled. The naked truth is then much more than a metaphor, and we really do need acceptance of nudity rather than it being left a taboo among any, if we have anything to do with that.
