7. They interrupt chi flow.

8. They create pockets of heat and imbalance in a body's natural cooling function. Even a speedo can add discomfort and diminish heat tolerance on a hot day.

9. They denigrate the natural body and the idea that our nudity is beautiful and ideal. Greek art and architecture with swimsuits on?!?
The Michael Angelo's Vatican!!

10. The message promotes body phobia.

11. Swimsuits justify the use of other clothing and all of those traps and ramifications.

12. Floating in the ocean, a baggy swimsuit can be mistaken as another jellie fish during mating season!  :D

13  They waste natural resources.

14.  They support large toxic chemical processing facilities that make polyester, spandex, and other chemical compounds out of oil.

15. They cause an ongoing waste of water, energy, and toxic chemicals for laundry.

16.  They hide or harbor tics that cause Lyme disease.

17. They fall threadbare within a season, depending on use, requiring replacement, instead of regenerating completely naturally automatically for free.

18. They fall out of fashion continuously. Bare can never be out of fashion.

19. Foster a false sense of security, demolishing real security in children.

20. Red burns where untanned skin has been previous to the fabric moving are positioned where most frequent skin cancer occurs. They cause cancer!

21. Constant fidgeting where it bunches up in the crotch and butt, traveling out of the intended place of covering.

22. Many fashions demand shaving, taking away free choice.

23. The water's there, the desire is there, but they won't let you swim because your suit is at home, or you get someones old one that doesn't fit.

24. Fashions don't mix. The bikini tanlines destroy the effect of the strapless number, or the hip-huger pants.

Give any child under six the choice. One must be trained to wear the absurdity of the unnatural. Rally my fellows! This is the anti- swimsuit rant page, time to voice the declaration of liberation! We must lobby for public swimsuit burnings. They can't all be wet all of the time. I can see it now, ten billion symbols of oppression going up in smoke...ooops, the poisons and toxins would be enough to gag us all to death.
That's lots of costumes. Mr. Sagan, could there be more of them than stars?

Good idea.  Get 10 to 40 nudists on a beach or pool and publicly take off your swim suits and burn them.   Ask the media to come film.   Then swim naked.  In most of the US that is legal under "free speech" even when naked is a crime otherwise.  And it would get the point across.

Now that you mention it! The law states that nudity to protest something else is quite acceptable, but nudity to protest anti-nudity is not. We have produced several reasons particularly environment and health issues, that would make the party protest legit. That's how naked bike, WNBR, ride got going. Thrift stores sell less pricey swimsuits. It could be done every week.

I'll have to think on this. There aren't that many here willing to do that. It would have to happen elsewhere. The suits could be burned one at a time, extending the ritual to run nearly all afternoon, each participant could grandstand ad speak, or done in group. The press would love it. Supporters not willing to strip could just carry signs, upping the numbers. It could become a fad, like streaking. The issues that are around the consumer culture, aka the mall, etc. could expand to not only swimwear, but clothing in general. Hmmm, needs a website/blog...gotta think on this.

All the media would do is create talk about people are burning their swim suits and skinny-dipping. That is all many, or most would hear...which ain't such a bad outcome...gotta think on this.
