Since the great takedown, I have periodically checked the old site using the old url. Usually I get the message "unknown site" or "cannot find this url", etc.

Today, using the same old url, it went to a blank screen with no error messages.

I wonder what lookee is up to?

Nah!  I looked at 23.35 GMT and it was the same old parking page.
What would happen if TSNS did resurrect from cyber limbo?  Would we pile in back there or continue here?  Or both? We don't have many new members that have joined here (although they are very welcome friends indeed!).  Maybe we'd rediscover a few old friends back on TSNS and take our FRN newbies too.  I kinda like being guests of the amazing, generous and present Stuart and Karla, rather than the anonymous Lookee, kindly benefactor for many years, and deserving of our deep gratitude, though he may have been.

Back in 2006 I began a search and found a group of like minded hikers on another forum. Since then I have joined a few more only to go inactive when the postings became boring or in some cases plain indecent. I followed the migration here from the old site; however I had been here to read of Stuart and Karla's adventures, because of the company here. In other words, I like it here and plan on staying.

I trust Stuart and Karla to maintain the site, preserving the archives. If there would be change they would work things out with us. I don't want to see situation like TSNS demise happen again.

And I agree.  Nice place for us to continue to converse and communicative, reasonable hosts.
