Many years ago, Hmmm 1975, I think, in Rocky Point Mexico, I was given a glimpse of stealth strategy. A young female was being discretely nude on Sandy Beach. She had a water raft, that was placed between her nude self and the rest of the beachgoers. She was at the end of the beach, away from most of us. This was before the high-rise condos and hotels arrived.

She would tuck the raft under her arm and travel to and from the water. Then drop onto the water and use it to float, or if she was far enough out, float on it.

It was very effective at distance, but this curious young guy's brain hones in on chicks without shoulder straps, thinking NAKED BING BING rather automatically. Besides, it takes one to know one.

She was passing down to the water as we walked across the beach, crossing paths at one time. Suspicion was confirmed, because as we passed, she had to move the raft from the left to the right side keeping it between us. Looking casual as she could, as if adjusting for comfort, it still didn't fool at 10 to twenty feet.

She couldn't get in the water as slyly either at the close distance. Her extra wiggle and grin told us that she got a kick out of the eventual exposure getting caught. She was enjoying the secret naturist game, being daring being nude in public, hiding in plain sight.  The jig was up, she gave up and just hopped onto the raft, and paddled out.

Ten years later, I was honeymooning at the famous St. Martin nude beach. We were staying across the peninsula at the textile hotel. They required a G-string minimal apparently. My new wife wore only one of those as we did desk business in the lobby and then renting a water ski set up, so the entire hotel and grounds, but it wasn't a nude place. One triangle of cloth was appropriate for the ladies? We would walk to the nude beach each day with our rafts and needs from there, disrobing (dropping a speedo and a g-string) about halfway when we came to the property line fence. We didn't want trouble and sometimes there were obnoxious workers around our hotel.

In time, after being nude so freely, it gets to be a annoyance for most anyone to get dressed. One morning, she decided to leave the clothing behind. She employed the raft bare-ior strategy. It worked. On the way back however, we met a couple on the trail who were confused at the seeing this nude beauty (her tan got darker than the Black locals) and politely, helpfully mentioned that they thought that she was mistaken and that she was out of the nude area. "Oh, I know, I just didn't feel like wearing anything." The workers on the roof were not at all fooled, either. They made her feel self-conscious and we considered that we might get a reprimand from the staff, but that never came.

Larry, is any of that area designated a CO beach?

No designated CO beach in this area that I'm aware of.  There is a beach further south near Sargent.  I tried to visit a couple years ago, but, the place was littered with river logs and inaccessible ...

With all the animals and salt grass it sounds like a tidal flat that would be wonderful to spend a day wandering around in.

Yes, it is.  I'm naked kayaking by the time we're further than 300 feet from the boat launch ... We float amongst the salt grass in 8-12" water and watch the crabs below and water birds nesting in the grass ...

More pictures, please.

I'll generate a report with pictures, later.

She had a water raft, that was placed between her nude self and the rest of the beachgoers.

We spent 3 weeks at the beach in July ... I used this method!  Much easier for a guy with exposed torso.  Just snugged it up to the side of my body that was towards the adjacent beach-goers, and depending on proximity and angles, I would rotate it part way around to the front side or back side as needed.  At other times, I'd walk out with a small styrofoam surf skip board covering the side towards the adjacent beach-goers ... this could only be done while the other adjacent beach side was vacant or nearest people were about 1/4 mile away ...

Have fun, naked!

LOL! Well I'll politely give his tan hide a nudge.. And we're at the same beach today.. He's outpt in the sun with a little thingy thong on a string and I'm in the back of the van to avoid glare and reading posts with one eye.  Maybe I could use the thingy for a pirate patch and read a bit faster...   A pair of motorcycle goggles work well for wind and sand.

I'll fugit him for ya and see if he responds. :-)

We just had a convo about pictures and resizing and uploading.  I feel johns pain about the photo gremlins. Hang in there John!

I've been reading all the back posts this afternoon.  Cool sheep and desert reports from last summer.

Has Larry seen Ian's tutorial on using Flickr? It's good and worked the 1st time I tried it.

It's in the "Suggestions" forum under "Posting pictures to the forum". My questions to Ian usually got a helpful response in short order.

There is also another way called "dropbox" noted by JohnP here. Plus I remember that there is somewhere on this forum a post about other photo websites that will work here. I recall Stuart discussing it.

What a strange saying that is Nuduke! "I wouldn't hold your breath." How would one go about doing that. I suppose it's a good thing you've elected to not do it.

Back to Larry, the one who months ago regaled us with tales of kayaking in the surf, tidal basins and inlets choked with salt-grass. All while blessedly naked. Then nary a word.  :'(

Lisa, has he nodded off at the keyboard?  ;D Give 'im a gentle poke.

"I wouldn't hold your breath." is an English idiom, Duane.  It means that whatever is being awaited is going to be a long time or not at all, hence no chance of arriving in the time that one can hold one's breath.  The expression is purposely ungrammatical.  I guess more accurately it should be 'Don't hold your breath'. :)
