Fascinating read, especially the early face-off with the law!
My emphasis - nothing's changed.

Yea, they showed up knowing that they had no legal leg to stand on. Sure sounds like the BS that we have been discussing on another thread. Back then, things like that happened, then it almost seemed that it went away to a great extent by the 70's, most people wouldn't pull that...BS. The Warren Court assured us of principled clearly black and white law. But, it is back now and now the law is much more complicated and ambiguous, making it more norm and legal legged.

There is a backlash, however. Black Lives Matter, no matter how you like them, have all sorts of people seeing it. There is disrespect for the law from right and left, just watch Bob and I rant. The Supreme Court pick process has been exposed as not the righteous protector of civil and constitutional rights, but a group of politicians in robes making decisions which are not right, principled and to trust, but political, depending on who is in power at a particular time. Too bad we can't let half of us adhere to half the courts law, and then another half adhere to the other half of the courts law opinions. It shouldn't be so flakey.

Forgive me, I so disgust the abuse of power and people who believe that they are rulers.
