I didn't know that he had been so persecuted. I suppose that it had to do partly with the anti-communist activity of that time. I've only glanced over his stuff. It seemed to be what I was looking to know in my own way; I didn't want another's interpretation at the time. Schwartz is doing some neet stuff at the U of A, these days. I'm sure to read more on it, one of these days. There are more recent translations that I spotted last night, that look interesting.
I wrote my thesis on Transpersonal energies. It is tough to go up against all of the opposition and academia with so little resource and a world filled with flakey interpretations. Sometimes, it is like sitting watching a sunset and a blind man stops by, sits down and tells you that it doesn't exist in a manner of ridicule.
It feels good to get a positive response such as yours. The desert naked, especially spots like De Anza, opens the world into something more, it can fracture the common sense of reality. Can't blame a blindman for being blind. We're all here in our own way.
