Hi from a cold Chicago
« on: January 04, 2019, 12:47:01 AM »
My name is Ed and I live in Chicago I have always thought about naturism but finally I decided to embrace it. I have even check out to see if there are any Naturist groups in my area and am thinking of joining them. Except for something as a kid I really hadn't been naked outside my own apt. I hope to get some advice and make friends here.

So, any questions? PM's are nice, but information gets shared better with a forum.

Do you live in a urban, suburban Chicago? Do you like getting out into nature? Does that frigid wind blow across the lake and deep freeze you during the winter?

I used to live in Battle Creek. I know that there are lots of summer havens that can be adapted to nude use. Solitary works, just one friend helps, the more the merrier. The potential as lifestyle is infinite. What else do you like to do, besides be naked? When I simply change up any regular activity to a nude activity, it works.

I remember many little picnic areas along the big rivers that could be used discretely nude. There are some tiny beaches along the lakes. Old farms and dormant fields are out there, they just require some research and some stealth.

I remember socked in with feet of snow. I figured that nobody was around. It was night, it was cold, the neighbors lights were off, who's looking? The wind was stopped. It was relief to just walk to the end of the driveway. Just keep moving, and feel alive. BArefoot all over quick excursions. Riding my bike, but not far. It is one thing to do these restricted things in winter, but even just a quick thing can be enough naked.

I live in urban Chicago right by the lake, which can be both a curse and a blessing depending on the time of year. In wintertime normally the wind blows up cold right off the lake and we even get lake effect snow. In fact, the temperature between where I live and a few miles west of here can be as much 40 degrees. I love nature but I don't drive and don't ask about parking that can be a nightmare. We do have good public transport around here. The police have cracked down on nudity in the past few years, to a point where you even attempt it can get you arrested.

"Cold Chicago" is right. They're predicting -21F there tonight. Not nudist weather! That's about -30C if I got the math right.
