The law in Canada prohibits nudity in public view, but I have been reliably informed by RCMP in the area that when people are merely hiking or otherwise active in an area well away from others, charges are unlikely to be laid when the intent of nudity cannot be proved to be motivated sexually.
I look forward to the day when this tolerance actually results in revision of the national Criminal Code (Section 174) where nudity in view of the public is held to be illegal. Not only that, I also look forward to the time when nudity is considered both natural and normal for those who choose the life.
Thank you all for this discussion (and encouragement).
