New President likes to skinnydip
« on: January 04, 2021, 07:03:43 PM »
I read an article that mentioned that Joe Biden liked to skinnydip. So, I googled. A book came out mentioning that Secret Service had had difficulty coping with this practice. Female agents couldn't cope, although there were only ten in the whole of them. It appears that this was true during the Obama years.

With this background, he incoming President may not only be a safe president for naturism, but a defender…

…GOOD.

Just google “Joe Biden skinnydip.”

I liked the Atlantic article. It mentions several other skinnydipping Presidents. One article pondered, “So what’s the big deal? This isn’t a scandal!” Things would appear to be on the up for naturism friendly government, as Presidents make trends. Now, to get him to talk about it. He might have more pressing issues to deal with. ;D

I'm not really surprised at this, considering that we are about the same age and grew up in much the same blue collar environment. It's been said that skinny dipping was a rite of passage in our area but it was really a product of necessity. We didn't have swimming pools, and honestly I don't think bathing suits were deemed a necessity to growing families where money was tight. My first suit was a hand me down from an older cousin when my family took their first vacation.

I doubt that there will be much of a shift toward naturism. There are still too many politicians beholden to the evangelical base to allow that kind of change.

One would have thought that members of the secret service protection detail would be made of sterner stuff. It suggests that a would-be assassin could get close to the president simply by being naked, as the guards would have to look away ...

A nude distraction could provide just the moment that they'd need to execute the worst! Sounds like they need to add a class to their schedule of training.

A scintilla of hope?  One would hope that the naturist community in the US might have the resources to lobby the president for rights for naturists such as clear federal legislation that defines clearly that being naked in public or private is fine, the right to roam perhaps?  Mind you if the naturist community were top drawer they would have been lobbying Biden for years!  Maybe something could be done.
I think it is significant that Biden is an older gentlemen.  Over 50 and certainly 60 onwards seems to be the age of naturism for men.  Would you agree?

He'll protect what we have. That is what I would hope for as best. He'd recognize any attacks on Naturism as silly. I hope word gets out and he owns it. That would be a good example for cultural change.

The federal government has no nudity laws. They are all set up on the state and local level. It is often considered a somewhat sacred matter to make a point that doesn't respect "state's rights." It preserves regional differences, in culture and social matters. We will have to overturn the damage of those anti body laws state by state, town by town. It will be a messed up inconsistent patch quilt of various law, as it remains today.
