I hadn't heard of this, but this is disappointing news. Three weeks ago, the Supreme court tabled, refused to discuss the equal rights of women.

It would seem that this is neglect of duty on their part, when they don't go for it, the lower court ruling stands in Va. It reinforces other BS court's decisions. Intentionally packed with conservative politically influenced judges in other jurisdictions it can happen in a majority of places, even though it has been upheld in others. So, women are not being protected equally under the law thanks to the bullshit Supreme Court. Very disappointing, news from the politicians in robes appointed for political interests instead of upholding "RIGHTS."

I'm pretty sure that the majority of states don't have any anti-topfree laws. Doesn't that say something about public opinion of top freedom?

It is weird enough what law does with our bodies, let alone the obvious wrong that this is.

I have long felt that the whole "topless" and "equality" arguments were a cop-out to ignore the underlying problem that government control of our bodies, forced body covering, is a flagrant violation of everyone's fundamental human rights.

The arguments for women "topless" are specious and silly since they ignore the whole human rights for our bodies, our choice.   It refocuses attention AWAY from fundamental human rights to our own bodies.

With topfree repression by government lifted, we can all have our inherent body rights equally abused.

I agree with you, Bob.  The topless liberation argument seems like an attempt to get through or create a loophole, but ignoring the wider issue of body freedom.  That county and city does seem very overly repressive when contrasted with the now fairly liberal 'can be nude anywhere' police guidance in the UK or the widespread incidence of topless bathing tolerated or legal all over southern Europe, (if not actual nudity).  Whilst socially nudity is far from being acceptable generally in the UK, at least the law seems, over here, to be a tad more enlightened than Ocean City.
