Anybody do anything celebratory?
I did nothing in particular. I may have actually spent more time in clothing than usual. I went out for lunch, bank, a couple of errands. I probably actually spent three hours with clothes on, much more than usual. I took the time to hang out and talk to a couple of people who needed to talk and joke around. The guy in the vacuum repair shop lost a best friend in his arms last week, and his 30 year biz partner is in the hospital with a mysterious disease. He needed a break/distraction. Entertaining guy, anyway. A friend of mine has stage 4 cancer. I talked her into a special sweat just for her and whoever she wishes before the next round of chemo comes to her. It was worth getting dressed and to be outside of my own stuff and do something nice for somebody having a hard time.
The rest of the day was typically nude. House cleaning, cooking, doing computer stuff, watering the garden plants, taking down the gazebo that flew into my neighbor's yard in a twisted heap. I had to watch the metal pipes as they were very hot to touch with any body part.
I did try showering outside. It is so hot here that there is little actually cold water, even in the house. I've been using cold water faucets with just a hint of the hot water side. It makes sense to just stop under the shower outside that we set up for the sauna. It is refreshing and I get clean, then air-dry in the shade where it is very pleasantly cool when wet. I have been getting less done than I would like, due to the excessive heat, as I wait for nonsoon to cool things off. I think that I'll be able to be more comfortable outside working and relaxing with an outdoor shower every so often. There's a bunch of projects to do out there.
