Big Bend State Park Hike
« on: June 08, 2023, 05:40:32 PM »
Continuing in the series, the road has lead to Big Bend State Park, Texas. We find a slot canyon, a long hallway, with cave-like sounds and towering walls of color, in naked sensitivity.

Another excellent story Jbee. Sharon and I keep talking about a trip to Big Bend, your words certainly add energy to that idea.

More next week.
After that, the story will continue in the Big Bend "National" Park and a hike up in the green mountains with an encounter, when we bare meet a foraging bear, which is just a few feet away.  :o

Looks very hot on that sunny day, Jbee.
How do you protect yourselves from heat exhaustion?
Any idea of the temperature and if you do, how do you work out how hot it is?  Do you carry some kit to do that?

We go for the shade. It wasn't that hot. Around 90F I think. Dry 80F's are my favorite temps.
Best solution is be naked. The canyon had more cool air that direct sun. The air moved over a body making things very comfortable all day.
The focus was more on wear to place the next step, too.
