Parksland Retreat Center Pt.I
« on: December 02, 2023, 07:18:06 AM »
We visited in Alabama on our way back from Georgia TWO YEARS AGO! The story was left out of the series chronicling the trip, for most of that time, waiting for "N" magazine to publish it first. They got it in and published it last summer. Now at last, I have added pictures and more text to tell the tale:

There will be parts II and III in the next couple of weeks. They are about time spent there, hiking and a surprise sweat. It fits in around the time of the "Porter's Gap" story.

Idyllic. Amazing.  Eden indeed.  Any insect pests on this trip? :D

No, but we heard that there can be many, depending and the heat and humidity, that can be stronger and less comfortable, depending on several factors. It was wonderful there. We were continually naked, day and night. We were surprised by the situation. Lots of lightning bugs. Gotta love those critters.
