Hello, I'm new
« on: July 16, 2024, 08:46:50 AM »
Hi, I'm from the Czech Republic, I'm 30 years old and I only recently got into naturism when I wanted to try it and started to enjoy it. I've been going without clothes at home since about forever, when I was home alone since I moved out I was always naked at home (I do home office, so also at work - except for video calls when I wear at least a t-shirt).

As for going out without clothes, about 14 days ago I went to a nude beach for the first time (I was pretty nervous but I managed, I enjoyed swimming the most). Other than that, I also tried walking naked in the woods (but it's not easy, you're always nervous when you look around, but it was fine in the end) or swimming without a swimsuit in a lake somewhere towards the evening (when there are few people and they're mostly on the other side of the lake).

I got here thanks to the International Young Naturist Organization (where I'm still waiting for approval). The reason I signed up for these discussions is to find inspiration and meet new people (because I don't know if my family or friends would understand).

(And on IYNO for the reason that I'd like to meet people closer to my age (in the Czech Republic I've only come across people 50+ on the nude beaches, but they tend to talk to each other and their interests are not so common with mine, and I'd also like to meet people I can talk to more - as I don't expect to come across anyone directly from the Czech Republic, but I'm taking it more as a first step).

Sorry about my English, hopefully it will improve with time.

Welcome, DovaDova!
We are mostly quite old and male here, but friendly, so don't be afraid to ask questions and express opinions.
Your English is fine - better than many English people!
My main regret about naturism is that I didn't do more of it when I was younger. The older I get, the bolder I've become.
Fellsnude (Fells are hills where I live, and I like walking on them naked.)

Welcome DovaDova! I hope you find something here to encourage your nudist endeavors. Yes, we are mostly a vintage crowd, but there are contributers from multiple age groups. Have you ventured into other formats, "X", BlueSky and the like? I find lots of references to Czech naturist opportunities on the web. I look forward to learning more about your adventures. Until then,

Stay Safe, Stay Bare!

Most of the discussions here have been about naturism/free range naturism. Threads certainly have traditionally gotten side tracked. Through the years, I've found that age doesn't affect the opinions of naturism. Other activities and cultural orientations  are more age specific.

Politics are not discussed here, as best we do that, but that is something that doesn't change due to age, but other demographics. There are younger people that I associate well with and some I'd rather not, as they are too set in their ways, like the personalities of many older people, that I limit contact with. I prefer an open minded type.

So, I'm saying that you'll probably find value here in all sorts of naturist topics. You may not get feedback that you can relate to if discussion drifts of to something like music, or perhaps an exchange might take place. I have always loved learning of cultural differences here. We are on both sides of the Atlantic and often very different backgrounds. The Americans are full spectrum different. We all get along, are civil and we learn and are entertained. The guys from the British Islands are not the same and it is fun to see how different.

Living and getting the most out of life free of clothing, outside of factory farmed venues, we have expertise, even wisdom. If you just go back to older archived topics, there is a wealth of information. You may even revive a topic, when it interests you, or you have a comment, or question, or objection. we have grown and covered a lot of territory over years, now.

Back in my youth, there was a saying that "you can't trust anyone over thirty." My"Big 3-0" birthday felt more like a wake and depression, but it was all hype. Some people become their parents, some don't. Nobody understands and identifies with everybody. You would be considered be over the hill and old at 30 years, back then.

I hang out at the hot springs naked with open minded creative cool younger people. We jam and sometimes they never heard familiar songs and artist, and that goes both ways. But we talk and practice health, alternative lifestyle, tech, healing, meditation and we all grow. Some young people outside of that treat me as irrelevant. They are not open-minded, generally. And some of these are relatives! ;D

I hope that you will join the fun.

Hi DovaDova and a welcome from me too.
You mentioned that the guys on the beach weren't too inclusive.  But I'll bet they were as shy about coming over to you as you were about breaking into their clique.
All my life when I've encountered new groups that I'm not initially part of, my mantra is "Turn up, join in, join up and be there consistently".  In other words if you continue to be around a group, sooner or later the opportunity will arise that you get drawn in to the conversation and will soon find yourself part of the group.  It's always a bit awkward at the beginning .  And what if people are generally older?  You may find we are not as far from you in outlook as all that!
We are very inclusive here - one post and you're a very welcome member of the forum.
Your English is great by the way!
Hope to be able to help you extend your naturist experience through our collective conversation here.
