Similar vegetation amongst weird stuff, which I hear ain't Martian. But it is often reddish rock, yes. Definitely like turning to DF and commenting, "Toto, I don't think that we're in Arizona anymore."
We have documented stories over three weeks, a new hike each day, more often targeting a new archeological site's unique experiences. I'll have Part2 up in a couple of days. It will be fun, giving hints of the flavor of what will more often come out of this series.
It will often be a fun trip, where we more often than not, is incidentally an opportunity to live naked. Well, I did plan it to be nude,, so planning kept us away from more popular tourist spots for the most part. There is a visit to a national park, but I managed to circumvent the crowds pretty well and not get arrested.
