Yes white or pink. Both types can be found within a few hundred meters of each other.
To me also, it is always strange to see a spring of that size just pop out of the ground. Arivaipa Canyon has a consistent perennial flow about the size of a two lane road and ankle deep, even though there may be no rain for months. During monsoons, it gets deeper from the runoff. Probably great drinking water atop of that waterfall? Is there a strong mineral content

It looks dry in those mountains. I'm surprised. Do forest, or grass fires happen? We never hear of them happening where you live. It is assumed that it rains to much, very verdant in all of the Alps. Is there less rain, at that time, than historical records?
This year, and spring in particular, has been very rainy. The environment remains fairly green compared with last year. Forest fires are rare. There was one not far from the town two years ago. In 2003, another one on the mountain opposite my home lasted three weeks, caused by a thunderstorm. But this mountain is inaccessible to vehicles and very difficult even on foot. Despite the intervention of planes and helicopters, the fire lasted until it rained heavily.
