You've done it again. Spectacular!

Just can't beat a photo of a mountain that floats on clouds.  ;)

I like the way that the spotlight shines through and onto the body in the cave with the sunroof. Wonderful effects.

Must have been a wonderful day AND quite a workout.

I have never been anywhere that you are above the clouds like that beautiful valley.  What is the elevation, JMF?
On average how long would you drive to the start point of one of your hiking journeys like this one?
I note on google maps that Plateau d'Ambel is near Lyons and Grenoble.  Is that the region that you live?  I note that your last few blogs are also around that region of France.
I once visited Clermont-Ferrand but that's as far east of France as I've ever been on my very small number of visits there (3 I think!)

1) the valley floor was at 600 m altitude, the plateau at 1400 m, we passed above the clouds at around 1000 m altitude.

2) Yes, I live in Grenoble and it took me over two hours to drive to the trailhead. In fact, this part of the Dr

Well...I'm living in Grenoble in the Isere department and it takes ma about two hours to drive to the start of the walks in the Drome department. But this region of the Diois in the Drome is particularlyfavorable for naturist hiking as it'still mountainous and sparsely populated.
