INF asks Meta to permit nudity
« on: Today at 05:39:47 PM »
INF and Naturists from 40 countries ask Meta/Facebook/Instagram to stop censorship of human bodies.   That's being pro-active rather than reactive.

Quote

An Open Letter to Social Media Platforms: Stop Censoring Body Positivity and Naturism

The purpose of this letter is to express our deep concern about the longstanding censorship of naturist
content on social media, a practice that harms not only our global community but also broader society.
For years, individuals, organizations, and businesses promoting body positivity and non-sexual nudity
have faced unjust content removals, shadow-banning, and account suspensions. We ask you to take
immediate steps to address this issue by:
1. Recognizing naturism as a valid, non-sexual expression.
2. Improving moderation practices to ensure fairness and accuracy.
3. Engaging with experts from the naturist community.
4. Increasing transparency in content moderation decisions.

I am very happy to see that the National organizations are interacting with their international counterparts. I was amazed to learn that there was no mutual recognition or collaboration between them before this effort.  It seems that the walls are starting to allow open doors or at least a crack or two. Hopefully it will continue to gain momentum.
At the same time, I am skeptical that Meta will be responsive.  They just announced the end of fact checking political posts in response to the reelection of President Trump. The wheels are powered by $$, not by any effort to appease the users or provide an honest source of information. Reality has ceased to matter.

Looks like I need to illuminate this announcement on my website.

As for the rest of the dis-moral dis-informational, dis-democratic parties and their strategies, I hail DDD.
