Yeah, Indian Summer is around the corner! The trip to Mt. Lemmon gave us Fall. We collected colorful falling leaves up there. As it turns to winter, the seasons will creep down the mountain, elevation, by elevation. We'll have the ability to go from summer to winter in a a half hour, choose our season and return home.
We don't have deciduous forests up there, just a few trees along the creeks among the dominate pine hilltops. Your fall forests are fantastic. I've traveled across country, to see the Dead in New York and travel through the Fall array. They would play every Fall there, just so that they could spend time in those forest.
This is your encouragement for a fun trip report with pics. Fall isn't totally depressing.
