Hello from San Diego area.
« on: November 03, 2016, 06:21:51 PM »
Thanks JB for the site and approving me.  I'll be posting some trip reports intended for the old hiking naked site soon.  Anyone in the area ever up for a hike around De Anza Springs or Borrego or other local wilderness let me know.

Welcome aboard!

Yep, I hope that many of the other refugees from HikingNaked find their way here. There were quite a few, and many very passionate and knowledgeable.

I wonder if Karla and Stuart have "hiking naked" set to attract search results. That would be their first search, not "free range." I have that on my site, with links to here.

Maybe the next regional gathering might occur in that area. Maybe an FRN sub-gathering, next time De Anza hosts the Naturist Society Gathering and we would look like  anew movement, ala Alice's Restr....

Ya never know what....

Glad you found your way here!  The migration continues from the old sites continue providing more knowledge, places to go, stories and most of all a place to converse with kindred spirits!

Nice to see all the familiar people.  I've heard of the camping bares.  Are you a member or do you know of any hiking or camping schedule of theirs?

Nice folks who run it. They seem to have a lot of fun together.

I know someone in the Camping Bares, but personally I live way too far away to make it worth joining. You've got the warm weather out there, so your opportunities are wide! Another group you can look at is the Black's Beach Bares. But it's somewhat worrying to see that the "Calendar" section of the Camping Bares website has no listings for events after March, and I'm not even sure that applied to this year.

They're a non-landed group, right?

It's over 300 miles from here to San Diego. The trip to Dewey was just under 3 hrs. 5-6 hrs. is a bit much unless it's an extended event.

What's their policy on drop-ins?

They recruit through Meetup mostly and do Facebook. They were doing mostly electronic newsletters, authored by one person. They were going strong last summer when I last was in contact with them. I'd look to those ways for contact. I was surprised by that the calendar, too. One of the key people is on here. He knew us as DF and Jbee. I you don't find anything, then let us know. I probably could scrounge a number out of some old archives.
