Has he joined here?
I'll be visiting his area this summer.

John, of the Nuduke variety, was in touch with him, I believe last year, after the great TSNS disappearing act. Whether he has heard from him again, I don't know.

To answer your question, I think not.
See here and here. Maybe Paul knows what's up.

I was indeed in touch - I have his email on personal email.  He was visiting the Southern Hemisphere for a while.  I mailed him today and told him you guys were asking about him and suggested he post something here to let us know he was well and hiking!  His website clearly indicates that is so!

Ah oui!
Es que tu es retourné par les antipodes, JMF, mon brave? Ou était-ce l'Amérique du sud peut-être, j'oublie.

The island off the east coast of Africa was way back.

JMF took a tumble, whacked an ankle and got sentenced to a cast for several weeks. "Chute à Proveysieux"
He was alone out there. Be mindful, you all.

Ouch!

That is my (and my wife's) one concern when I am out. Moving around on loose scale of rocks and/or an elevated spot. Lucky he wasn't that far from his vehicle.

If it can happen to someone as experienced as JMF . . . ?
Yeah, be careful, especially if you are alone. (me too)

It read like he was far from his ride and he hobbled out. Don't know, but it sounded like he could have exacerbated the injury. Great pic of him laying out flat.

I try to not let my concern over these kinds of possibilities, but they do affect my choices occasionally. Not only where I go but how far I walk in.

Having a buddy system for my naked wanderings would be great.

JMF appears to be HEALED!

Yep. Amazing! The accident was in late February and by March he was back at it.
This is the report he posted about the accident: Chute à Proveysieux (Fall in Proveysieux). There are photos on his site there taken in March just a few weeks after the fall.

JMF seems to have recovered from his leg injury. OF COURSE !
You can’t stop him from his love of naked hiking!

I've noticed that some later posts have English translations. I'm grateful for his hard work.

I'm so glad JMF is ok again.  He is a fine example to us all.

High mountains and trip to Crete. He's at it and doing well. There is a new translation in English after the in French dialog. The title page is a fine presentation of FRN.
