What do you say if they say....?
« on: February 24, 2018, 03:32:03 AM »
There are many bizarre utterances that people will give as a reason, or more likely an excuse, to NOT get naked, especially being seen naked by others. I've got a long list. I'm going to post one here and there on this thread, hoping that you will respond with a kind and helpful reasoning, or persuading, to contradict their misguided perspectives. It may help us to liberate the hearts and minds of some poor soul someday...or get 'em off of our backs! I think that I've heard all of the more prevalent one.

I'll be a "DEVIL'S" advocate. It may be fun...maybe not....

A feeling based on personal insecurities.   Have to maintain the approval of others in order to feel good about themselves. But kind of passing the buck onto others to avoid the real issue.

If im secure in my own view i dont need the approbation of other people.

But an appropriate response?    Im not good at quick thinking.

“Why is it the only people who get naked on a nude beach are the ones you never want to see naked?”

It’s not about YOU, stoopid!

I thought up a good response finally.   "They can see all the clothes they want at the department store"

Or.   "So your clothes are more worth seeing than you are?  I can see all the clothes i want at the store"

Or maybe.   "its a friends filter,   real friends dont care what you look like, they like the real you, clothed or naked,   money or dirt poor,   real friends will be there for you"

Whatever you think is wrong with your body, clothes probably make it worse. Pinching in, restricting, making grooves where you have only smoothness - you're not better off in clothes than out of them.

"Why don't you let me make that decision?"
or
"Ohh, not so my friend, you're assuming your fashion sense is well defined!"
or
"Yes, but do you feel better?"

#1. I look better in clothes. Nobody wants to see this body.

Life is too short to care what others think of you in any regard. Do what your heart desires. Live your life, because one day it will fly by you and you will wonder why you never did what your heart wanted.

Your body is beautiful no matter the size, shape or differences that you have. People who are beautiful on the inside will admire you and be happy for you. People who judge and ridicule you are doing it because of their insecurities or beliefs and you shouldn’t take it personally.

Don’t grow old and regret not living your life. Live it to the fullest! If you want to give it a try then do. But in the end, it’s up to you.

If you are going to feel uncomfortable even by yourself then you won’t get the same feelings I do. If you are not comfortable naked by yourself, doesn't that seem like a red flag that something is wrong? Are you not loving yourself enough? Or accepting yourself? Living with yourself? Being yourself? Are you consumed or incarcerated with shame? Isn't it your right to feel a sense of freedom in your own body?  But if you feel like you can at least try it then you have nothing to lose.

Do you really believe that you are actually pulling it off by wearing clothing? Don't you think people can figure it out, so you actually have nothing to lose? Are you being honest and authentic? What is the worst thing that could happen? Do you think that others will only value you for your body or the way that you look?

It isn't about showing off. It is about feeling and experiencing your God given gift of life.

Don't you know that you are missing out on something wonderful?

"My 6 year old daughter doesn't need to be making these decisions and have to think about such things. You better get dressed, or else."

"I have the right as a parent to decide what she sees, or doesn't see, not you. So, she had better not see your naked butt next door."

"She will get confused, she's too young to see you two naked." "You'll scare her!"

What can one say to these, oh wise ones?

im not sure you do have that right.   even if you do it does not give ou the right to infringe on or restrict my rights.

"She will get confused, she's too young to see you two naked." "You'll scare her!"

"Well! I have the right to teach my children any belief that I choose and You had better not think that you can just traipse around naked and muck that up, teaching my children something else!"

"You are a pervert, and you are wanting to pervert my child. Next thing she might be pulling her dress off at school, by your example. Quit corrupting my child." "She is young and impressionable."

"You probably get a kick out of exposing yourself."
