I love walking in the snow whilst naked (with boots on of course). So often the reflected sun is warming. I was on an advanced winter hill walking skills course recently but was clothed. The kilt is brilliantly warm and one of the few occasions in the UK when you can legally carry a weapon (a sgiandhu).

February has always been warmer here, the beginning of spring weather, low seventies. This year and last February has been crappy, winter weather. I've been sick forever and I'm feeling stir crazy coming on. I'm tired of clothes, bathrobes and a pile of blankets to stay warm.

Still, thank-you for helping me appreciate what I do have.

I'm supposed to be naked on the southern coast of Mexico at this time. I am thoroughly resolved to correct these inconveniences. This will be the last winter that I cannot correct to suit my lack of clothing. Life is too short and precious. Life is not something merely to be endured, or to spend imprisoned, I'm done with that.

We have had exceptionally warm weather for February.  We have had clear sunny days often with crisp frosty nights.  I have enjoyed a few excursions on the frosty nights with my bare feet painful on the frosty grass and my body loving the crisp, sharp night air...for as long as I can stand it!  It's the feet that give up first.  Obviously my duration increases with shoes on but then I don't feel really naked.  Catch 22 :D

This morning at about 8.45 I was sitting on the garden furniture sipping tea and eating toast and later I went out in the garden and sunbathed whilst having lunch.
That's exceptional for February - about 16-17deg.  it was uncomfortable when the breeze got up though!

I spent an hour or so after lunch yesterday cleaning windows,. Barefoot  but still wearing glasses, twas a tad chilly on the shady side of the bungalow.  The roadside hedge is still see though  but what the heck. No traffic passed whilst I was visible and I wasn't aware of any pedestrians.

The only kind of weather I really don't care for is rain and records have been broken this year around here for the amount of rain. But better than water restrictions and drought. It hasn't rained for two days now but there's a half a chance it might tomorrow. I can't really complain except that it has made the places muddy where I go walking.

Hiking when it's snowing can be a delight. Hiking when it's freezing cold, snow or no snow, is interesting but not exactly delightful. Hiking when there's more than about six inches of snow on the ground is not easy, either. But hiking when the weather is warm, the leaves are out and it's sunny is what you live for.

Sorry for your snow.   One year (some years ago) I took my family for a President's Day weekend at a nudist place called Jardin Del Sol near Tuscon, AZ.   We had 5 inches of wet snow on our tent when we got up one morning.

I finally found a guy who comes out and plows driveways.   We haven't seen any temps above freezing in a month.

Jardin Del Sol! nice place. I had a small retreat out between there and the CIA base, back in the late nineteen seventies. I remember, when they got phone service, one of those bricks, like a walky talky. Did they have the old west town built yet? I have some old pics of the place. Maybe I could scan them an write an article.

Rotorua--look out the window over the lake and it's "Rain, heavy rain". But today's the day we go to the hot spring (via a 30 minute walk, not a factory farmed spring). Decision, we go anyway.
