Season's Greetings
« on: December 23, 2018, 02:34:07 PM »
Season's greetings, everyone. May your days be sunny and bright (and warm). Hope the new year is better than the old year, too.

Don't know what this winter will be like. I can remember some really cold winters. Last winter wasn't bad. I don't remember it very well, so it must not have been that bad. Can global warming be such a bad thing? I'm just starting to get used to the cooler weather, too. Everyone will be out in shorts again in March.

Warm and wonderful Season's Greetings to you too.

We have had warmer and rainier weather for the last part of 2018.  Our seasonal average temperature for Midwinter's Day is High 31, -1c, low 21. -5c.   On the long term average that is the coldest day of our year.  So far this winter we could add 10F or 5c to those averages.  Lots of warm, wet, storms blowing in off the Pacific Ocean.   So far we haven't had the NE winds coming down from the Canadian arctic.  That is when we get really cold.   We still have another month and a half of real winter.  January may bring the usual cold.

We had about a dozen of our friends over for a Yule celebration yesterday.  The earth turns and the sun begins its journey back north.

Season's Greeting to all.
The weather has been unusual. Low 70F's, out of the 60F's for high temps with blue skies and no winds. We got some sun on Havarock yesterday.

This solstice is the beginning of a pleasant nude year for us all. The days are getting longer and Spring is coming.

As we had bought a number of new decorations this year including a string of tiny, battery operated LED lights that you might want to drape over things, I purloined them this morning whilst I was making a pre-getting up cup of tea for my wife and returned to the bedroom greet her, thus clad.  It made her laugh.  I asked her to take a photo and she did but observed that she bet I would be posting it to my naturist friends.  "I'm sure I won't, dear!" I responded... lying through my teeth!
Season's greetings for new year and apologies for the somewhat inept photoshopping!
