Somehow, that's a really nice excursion, Jbee.  I think it's the temperate climate and the precipitous mountains and, somehow, the contrast with the little, human, domestic business of drinking and eating in camp and on walks.  From your narrative, you guys seemed particularly relaxed on this leg of the journey.
What's with the eggs thing?  Were you frying, boiling or poaching and why did they froth up?

That was a DF omelet. She leaves it is the pan with a lid on, but this one puffed up like Cheetos. The thin air at that altitude made a significant difference. It was probably twice as high as a normal omelet and silly fluffy to eat.

I saw a thing on Facebook today.  The 50th Rainbow Gathering is going to be in Colorado this year.   I though of Jbee because he has talked about enjoying previous Rainbow gatherings, and now he's about Colorado.   Have a great time if you go.

The Gathering is a possibly for us this year. We were planning to go and make a road trip, hiking into parts of Southern Utah at that time. Since we got back DF's 100 year old mother has been having health issues. We are in limbo until we are certain that DF will not have to head back east to help the family with that.

I was certainly psyched up to go. This will be a big deal as covid threat wanes and the half century marker pops up. So, we wait to see....
