Hello All!
« on: April 10, 2023, 09:45:12 PM »
Hello all,

I'm Jim Tighe, a.k.a. RiverNude, from Arkansas. I've been a naturist for most of my life, enjoying hiking, fishing, camping, gardening, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, SCUBA diving, and almost anything I can do outdoors and nude. I also enjoy visiting nude resorts, but my preference is to "free range" nude, with less and less concern about what anyone thinks. I look forward to interacting with all of you, and sharing information and ideas about naturism!

Have a blessed NUDE day!

Welcome, RiverNude!
Arkansas - isn't that the state where it's virtually illegal to even mention naturism in a favourable light? How do you not get arrested - just go to places nobody else goes?

Thanks Fellsnude!

Yes, technically it is illegal to be naked in Arkansas in the presence of anyone besides your doctor or your spouse. The law's so broad, it would also make it illegal to live with anyone, to "hook up" at a bar, and a whole lot of other things. It really doesn't get a lot of attention.

Arkansas, known as the "Natural State" is actually a pretty good place to be in your own natural state. We're largely rural, and have lots of lakes, rivers, and thousands and thousands of acres of woodlands. It's pretty easy to be nude, with good situational awareness and common sense. Besides hiking, camping, canoeing, kayaking, boating, fishing, frog gigging, swimming, snorkeling, and all the other things I've done nude all over the state, I spend a great deal of time nude around my home. I live out in "the sticks", with only a small number of well-scattered neighbors. Yet, I've been "caught" nude, both at home and around the state, and never had a problem over it. Most of my neighbors know I'm a naturist, and I often hear things like "get out of the pool and put some clothes on" when someone comes over and wants to visit. I don't walk down the road nude (not during the daytime), but I don't hesitate to take the trash to the roadside bin nude, or any other quick nude task out in front of the house.
Have a blessed NUDE day!

Thanks Greenbare! I'll surely do that! I was just out there last week, but I'll probably be back!

Welcome from me too, RiverNude (or can we call you Jim?).  Great to have such an experienced freehiker on board.  We can probably learn lots about good free range hiking 'craft'.
Assume you might have some pretty good hike location photos to share with us.  Please do!
Er... from my British eyrie there's a language problem....what's...

Hi John!

Thanks for the welcome!

Yes, of course you can call me Jim! In fact, I prefer it, being more casual. I list my real name and my trail name, because I'm comfortable being open about my naturism, but I'm happy for anyone to call me by whichever they wish! (Call me anything, just don't call me late for supper!)  ;)

Yes, I've got lots of photos from different places that I've hiked nude, as well as from other nude activities. And, I'll be glad to share them! I'm just getting started here on FRN, and hadn't given any thought to the ability to add photos, as I hadn't run across any yet, besides avatars. I'm not shy about sharing my nude photos, and I don't mind if they're shared elsewhere by others, either. I figure that if you put something on the internet, you'd best accept that it's "out there" and may show up anywhere. If you're willing to be naked on the world wide web, you may well be naked world wide forever! After finding some of my photos posted online by others, and not credited in any way, I started adding my name and trail name directly onto them. That way, if someone wants to share them elsewhere, I sort of unofficially get credited automatically. I'm definitely not a professional photographer, but I do like for folks to know that I took them, wherever they may show up. That's worked well, and has even prompted at least one hiking blogger to credit my photo to me in their caption, as well!

LOL!! Ah, yes..."Great Britain and America...two great nations, separated by a common language!" But, don't feel badly, a lot of Americans don't know about frog gigging. It's a country thing!

Frog gigging is a method of hunting bullfrogs. Nude is absolutely the best way to do it! I'll make a separate topic post about it, rather than rabbit-holing this thread.
Have a blessed NUDE day!

John,

I may need to re-educate myself on photo resizing. I tried to add a frog gigging photo to my other post, and couldn't get it below the 100 kb size required.

Yes, Jim, it's a bit laborious posting photos.  The way to do it is to have a photo repository - google drive, one drive or one of the photo sharing sites such as flickr or imgur.  Then you can generate an embed code which you paste into the photo function in this forum (forum toolbar at the top of each new post, bottom row, first icon on the left).  That embeds the image into the post in the place that the cursor is when you embed the photo embed code.  Don't paste a link to the photo in the post - that tends to open up your entire photo repository to anyone that clicks it.  I have a separate microsoft account with One Drive for my naturist photos to avoid prying eyes into my main store of photos.  By using the embed code in the forum post, there are no photo details available (such as the origin or photographer identity) so it's more secure.
It's easy when you get used to it but it ain't drag and drop!
Hope that's helpful.
There are others that are much better at it than me (Greenbare Woods for instance) who might be able to give you step by step guidance.
John

Thanks, John!

I did experiment with posting a few links to photos on a couple other threads. Those photos are on my MeWe account. (I gave up on Flickr a while back, with its every more stringent rule changes.) The links worked, and I'm not concerned with anyone accessing any other photos on MeWe, they're all available to anyone, already. I'm very open about my naturist photos, so securing them isn't an issue to me.

I'm going to try the method you described, as I want to post a thread about some hiking experiences. Thanks again!
Have a blessed NUDE day!
