Awe!
Very fun photos in a magnificent place. The ominous white peak seems to be floating in, separated by clouds in some photos.

It is amazing how the snow and the clouds blend in some photos, some swirling around in gullies and valleys, falling off of mountains.

I haven't been around a pair of snow shoes for decades. The newer technology is stunning. I still tend to think of them as fat twigs tied together with leather gut threaded.
There is quite a lot of specialized footwear on nude bodies. It is quite a contrast.

You all carry large packs, but don't camp out. Is there gear in case the weather turns in some dramatic fashion? Is it for emergencies? Why so much and what is that stuff?

Your turnout on a cooler day is impressive. Glad to see it.
A great deal of wonderful photos!

In the bag: the clothes of the day, tee shirt, fleece, jacket, shorts or pants; a warm down jacket or a waterproof jacket depending on the weather; gaiters, gloves and hats; something to eat and drink; sometimes a first aid kit and always a survival blanket; and also a knife, my two cameras and a mini foot. A big bag allows me to carry the snowshoes on the side without them moving before reaching the snow; on a small bag, they usually swing.

And, JMF, when you are hiking over large areas of snow, what is the air temperature.  Do you remain comfortable naked even though walking over frozen snow?
John

Et, JMF, lorsque vous faites de la randonnée sur de grandes surfaces de neige, quelle est la température de l’air?  Restez-vous à l’aise nu même en marchant sur la neige gelée?

In fact, the reflection of the sun on the snow gives a sensation of heat on the skin, even if the temperature is low. This is the advantage of having bare skin.
