Home From The Hills

Yikes! I clicked on "posts since last visit", 22 pages! No way to do that in one sitting.

My last post was, August 27, 2019.
My last trip report was, August 06, 2019. Not the last hike mind you. Just the last report here.

I knew it had been a while, but was startled at how much has happened.

It wasn't just the virus response going viral was the cause of my hiatus, I just went into a sort of doldrums. I did do some hikes during the shutdown, I just couldn't get the initiative to get up off my duff to write them up.

On looking through some of the posts one caught my attention, the "Hiking Alone" topic. Hiking alone is something I have a soft spot for. I know I miss out on the camaraderie of others by doing that. My trip to Tucson to visit with Jbee, Breeze, Ken & Amy was particularly rewarding and memorable.

When I read nuduke's question about the enforced hikes I remembered and thought to just provide the answer. I can post a couple trip events but it will take some probing of the memory banks.

I will try to keep the momentum going. It feels good to be back.

Welcome back, Eyesup, and please don't leave us again!

On hiking alone, the recent death of actor Julian Sands comes to mind regarding the risks of being out there with no help or contact, but I think he was probably rock-climbing rather than just hiking - not nude of course, but still a reminder of what we could be risking.

Yes, Eyesup, thanks for posting, welcome back. This reminds  me of my "selfish " post. I often am too busy and mentally drained with day-to-day life to share adventures with the group. I appreciate Jbee and so many others that keep us informed and entertained, but have trouble consistently finding the time and energy to contribute as much as I would like.
That's okay though. I feel accepted and encouraged by the group. And that feels good.

Duane!  Aha! and ha ha ha!
Really, really good to have you back!  Thought you had deserted us forever!
Although I am interested and appreciate the presence of all our members, I particularly appreciate having in the group those who were members of the long lost and much lamented Secret Naturist Society.  There's something nice about the continuity of the friendships forged in that community and there are only a few of us here.
So, Eyesup, let's start hearing about your exploits again and having your participation in our discussions and whatnot.  Lovely to have you back.

EYESUP!!!!
Dropped off of the face of the earth!!! Woohoo! Keep coming back!

I just got back after 20 some days and found about 20 topics had been hit upon the last week. In the hills (9700 ft.), I could only read on a phone and not respond.

It feels good, very good, to have you back.

Thanks, All.

In the process of catching up and I am getting back in the hang of things. Will reply as I do.

I am trying to remember the hikes I was on but didn't make any notes and to update the few I did write. I have to update them as needed.

There are those that come and visit the website, those that logon and browse and those that log comments.
I wonder how many from TSNS are still here keeping tabs. During my absence I would remember checking in here and do a quick look to see what was happening.

I guess it was sort of checking the pulse of the forum.

I mentioned in one of my posts yesterday that I had started it awhile back but just hadn't finished or posted it. I have a couple others from even earlier that I should touch-up and post.
