DITTO the B-day!
HYMIE! Good to see your post. I had been concerned. It HAS been awhile.
I guess I need to place my personal preferences, too. I'm prone to natural. I see God's work as best. Human decoration may be fun, but true beauty is the unadulterated blessing. It goes back to my ol' ethos from the late sixties, I suppose. Natural, earthy materials, lasting workmanship, rallying against the perceived "plastic" culture. Still my tastes hold in this day.
On women in particular, I see hair fashion as butchery, it always looks silly and distasteful in retrospect in the old photographs. A tat might be a huge scar on a beautiful nude body, instead of decoration, when seen through my eyes. You can't be truly naked, if you are dressed in a tat's decor. Show me a natural all over tan, non-disrupted nude lines and that is attractive. There is permanence to a tat, when life is about change, ebb and fluctuations. In short, I don't like 'em, prefer not seeing 'em on others, and sometimes feel sad to see 'em. Piercings, have no permanence. On the other hand, it isn't my decision, my business, if not asked and I'm not bothered enough to say anything, especially about something that is done and can't change. When you chop down a tree, it is gone. There is no choice but to attempt to get used to it. I do enjoy the tatoo art.
