I really would like to know what the neighbor said in the call that would make the police respond in the first place. The comments after the article are the best, how many are losing trust in the police. I may tell our daughter to get a written order from her pediatrician as she was told to let the little one run naked to help with diaper rash. Also she said airing out the skin with sunshine is healthful also. Although she did warn to use copious amounts of sunscreen since he is so young and fair. I know there will be a day at the water park where he will pull off his swimmers and go to the water naked.

I saw that article earlier on the clothes free forum. Although I can access the site the forum also seems to have vanished. My fear is that another naturist forum has gone by the wayside because a server disagrees with the content. Sometime it seems we manage a few baby steps forward then a giant leap back.

What I find most disturbing is just the over reaction to innocent childhood behavior, it was the aggressive intrusion of "a neighbor". Some neighbor.

Several years ago we had a little tempest brewing in our corner of the neighborhood. Our dog, which was a Heinz 57 but had the markings of a German Shepherd, the body of a Husky, the coloring of a Chow and the tail of an Akita. Big beautiful dog. She was protective of our kids and her home and she always barked at anyone approaching. Many other dogs in the area also barked. Imagine that!

A "neighbor", did not like the noisy barking of our dog and reported us to the authorities. We were contacted by mail, not the neighbor, in regard to this. We responded that we would be happy to talk in arbitration to discuss times when this happened. Why had the neighbor not simply come over to talk?  Police have real crimes to deal with instead of some little complaint in a neighborhood dispute. The officer said the message would be passed on.

We persisted over time in insisting on meeting whoever was complaining. The whining, sorry complaining ceased. We never found out who the people were that were complaining. If only they had come over to talk, we could have settled it without annoying the police dept. I suspect that the police get frustrated with these idiotic calls, and I don't blame them.

If the person that initiated the confrontation in Canada had just knocked on a door, all would have been well. It's the willingness to impose an ideology through a proxy, the police, that I find disturbing.

I expect the neighbor never had children.    Or they were just completely mentally deranged by our corrupt society,  expecting a child molester behind every bush or something. Or the nonsense of calling innocence child porn.  It's the neighbor who had the corrupt mind,  the police would have been better checking them out.   Actually by responding to such a call they authorize it's legitimacy in the mind of the caller.   If they'd go talk to the caller and tell them what a stupid thing it was to waste their time with an innocent child enjoying a warm day.   It might help reduce such foolish reports.  Next time the complainer might not bother to report.
I remember an incident that I found hard to comprehend.   I was walking through the woods at a small public nature preserve,   was heavily tanned by my field work.  Hot weather so I removed my shirt.  Was following a small trail which hadn't had use for awhile and got close to the boarder near someone's back yard.    Someone over the fence saw me and objected to my presence,  so I just turned and walked off through the woods the other way toward the rest of the nature study group I was with.      A half hour later when we were back to the parking lot the police showed up and asked if a latino had been seen there.    Apparently those people who'd seen me thought that's who I was due to the dark tan and called the police.    I'd spoken to them,  so they musta heard I didn't have a spanish accent.   And my features definitely are all caucasion.     Plus the idea that they'd report to the authorities just for seeing someone walking through the woods in a public access nature preserve is a mystery to me.    I didn't identify myself as the one they were after,   and of course the description didn't begin to match me.  Besides I'm over 6 ft and I think I havn't seen a latino over about 5 1/2.

Re the Canada report, it also spoke volumes about attitudes that the police had earlier had insufficient resources to respond to a burglary call. A sad commentary in every aspect of that report

I checked ClothesFree, haven't been there in a while and got the following when I picked the forums heading:

"Critical Error"
"We are currently experiencing technical difficulties. Please check back in 24 hours."

Hopefully it's just a hardware or software glitch.
Of course that's what we thought about TSNS about 5 weeks ago.
