I can claim to be the 'Keith' mentioned by Eyesup, and have found my way here via contacts from a couple of people - thank you to them!

I sent an email to everyone on the Yahoo SNS site about the demise of TSNS.

Most of the names I recognized.

Sometimes different names are used on different forums so I just sent the email to everyone figuring I had seen them on the old website.

I checked this morning to see if there were any responses. So far only one non-deliverey notice was there from the account of nib. But I see he has already registered here. So hopefully the others will check their old Yahoo accounts and check out this forum.

Welcome to all,
Duane

Hey! A quick scan shows that Nudewalker, Hymie and possibly ricc as ric are registered here but a long time ago and no activity.  I wonder if they might get back here to read this thread?

I received a notification on my email about a PM from Eyesup. If they are registered here, a PM may also turn up on their email carrier. Tanman had a visit with Hymie years ago and they were together at Tanman & Lisa's wedding. Contacting Tanman would lead us to Hymie.

We might all do what we can. Sometimes redundant effort is what works.

To my knowledge hymie never posted a message on or even signed onto the Yahoo site. I see no message history from him. He is registered here but with no email listed and he is also a member of another forum I have seen, also with no email listed. He's a tough cookie to find, especially without a trail of crumbs.

A PM will only work if he logs on to those sites he is a member of and looks at his messages as he didn't provide an email for contact. Larry was on the email blast I sent from Yahoo so maybe he can provide a way to contact him.

Hopefully he will remember he is registered here.

As Eyesup says, the “ADULT” designation could be some attorney’s idea of liability. There is no excuse however. The USA law clearly has delineated porn and intent from mere nudity.

If there is an entity buying up hosting services and changing the rules, then it is a trend and a threat to all naturist sites, including TNS, ANRR, BN, etc. Lawyers tend to let others do their work and sometimes call it precedence, copying rather than come up with something original. If one service has anti-naturism fine print, then others will just copy and assume. We are misunderstood and this is why what we place here and all over the internet is so important.

By the history of media consolidation in the USA during the last years and its effect and control of what we see, hear and perceive, the whole idea of hosting consolidation control is very threatening to free speech and also, it shows us just how quickly that the condition can happen. I intend to see who this entity is that hit us like this. Their actions may even be political, if not inadvertent.

I will now be sure to look at that potential, as I get my site up and running.

Otherwise, I will be attempting contact with the others who are still lost and encourage us all to keep throwing out bottles with notes in every direction to attract those cohorts.

I PMed Reuben T. through the NAkedHiking site. I'll double down in pestering Larry and hopefully we'll snag Hymie. I'll also PMed JMF at Radonnes.

Yeah, a post here and a PM there and hopefully the dominoes will start to fall and we'll get a small but respectable group reassembled. The more that show up the more of those 1 or 2 email contacts we can gather.

Refugees of the now (sadly) silent TSNS ship adrift at sea, Kayaker and Tanman are sailing in to safe harbor :)) We found this intriguing message in a bottle, a nice long lifeline with precise way finding points from across the Pond, and curious smoke signals way over the red rocks of the desert...all clues within mere days leading us to this very pleasant site with such a hospitable and generous host and hostess!   Tan will forward the signals to Hymie, we do have contact info for him.  Anyone else needing a ping who hasn't sputtered up from the depths?  He may have good contact data.

I think this is a nice respite until we can secure a remote island.

So pleased to see our little family survived the sinking.  It is really touching.  Missed everyone!

Well! How pleasant to see your warm response. Always a pleasure. Whoever you have contact info for, it would be wise to ping. We need let everyone know. No one is keeping count, or a list, or even has a complete list. How's about Balead?

Thanks JBee, we've missed you guys.  Give our regards to DF please. Actually we are in a remote area at present (naturally) so when Larry can get to his computer in between stops he'll send up the weather balloon to known contacts.  Glad to be able to reconnect.  I had tried the site a couple of times but thought it was on my end. Now I wonder if it was technical difficulties.

I emailed everyone from the old site that I have an email address for, a total of 18 people and 23 email addresses. Only two bounce messages, one from Larry but the second address got through and the other bounce from Hymie. Dave (David / Balead) was on my list and I have not had a bounce message, although I have not had a reply either.

Have fun,

Ian.

MAN!!

You get real busy with work for a few weeks, having to neglect the fun things of life like TSNS, and the bottom falls out! I had no clue of the problem until I got the PMs from Nuduke and JBee. Thank you all for your efforts to get in touch with everyone. The demise of TSNS is sad indeed but on the bright side it was not due to Lookee's health which I feared as I started reading this thread. I was pleased to read what Paul had found out, about Lookee not the site.

If we have to be castaways, we couldn't have found a better island on which to wash up. Thank you, Karla and Stuart, for allowing us to be here, not that many of us have not been here before.

Well, Tony, JOhn, Tanman, Lisa and sfxtd? have signed up. 5 new members on Monday alone and Hymie checked in. It's slowly picking up. I checked the list and there are 11 new members since June 8, the day (we think) it happened.

Yeah, Hymie, we were worried about Lookee too. After the 1st few days without any word we were wondering if it was his health. The good and bad news is that he is fine but had, not only TSNS but also, his other content also taken away. On that front I hope he is ok.

I think Jbee has a good idea about putting a site together. I am grateful for Stuart & Karla's site for us to gather. I don't want to abuse their hospitality though, by inadvertently hijacking it.

This reminded me of Dan. I think he is in the Boston area.

Does anyone know his contact info? He was a recent, prolific and insightful contributor.

Having him show up would be good.
