Probably our best month ever for total nude time, but maybe not for hiking because it was so hot (by UK standards). I still recorded an estimated 29 miles nude though. Mrs F did only 4 or 5 miles but had plenty of nude time other than that - more than in the whole of 2021 or 2022 in fact.

The last week of June was cool and showery - normal Cumbrian summer - as is early July, and I'm now back in the usual 4 layers of clothing. 19th-25th June also cooled off with rain at home, but we were in Norfolk visiting the ma-in-law and others, staying at Broadlands Sun Club again. The fine, warm weather held down there so we got some bonus nude time including a trip to the beach between Winterton-on-Sea and Horsey. That's a traditionally CO stretch of very quiet beach with dunes and we took full advantage despite a few clothed people passing by (no issues). It's not as quiet as it used to be because a colony of seals has taken up residence on the beach at Horsey, attracting extra human visitors. One of our old friends said "that used to be naturist but the seals have ruined it". We just said "It still is!" It was a weekday and schoolday though, and I guess a weekend or holiday might have made it uncomfortable.

The return of cool showery weather has also brought the return of that familiar feeling of "Is that it for the summer?" - Let's hope not.

Strange - I can post on this thread but when I try the Nude in Public thread I get a 403 Forbidden message....perhaps there's a forbidden character in what I wrote because it won't post here either if I paste it in.
I've had this problem a few times.  And you lose your post text when it happens.  Don't know what's triggering it but I have an inkling it is associated with adding emoticons from the menu on the top and/or embedding pictures.  I posted Stuart & Karla but no reply.  If I do a long post, I copy it before posting just in case!
Test:  ;D >:( :o

Nope!  That last post posted OK.
But back to the thread............,
I have had a continued great month for being naked at home due to the hot weather and my dear spouse seems to be getting more acclimatised to my continued nakedness.  This weekend I haven't had a stitch on except to do some gardening jobs at the front of the house.

June started out as prep for the coming times and very busy. Most of the prep was done at home and naked.
Then, in mid-June, we went to the Naturists Society Gathering at Shangra la Resort in Phoenix for four days. Much fun. We spent the whole time naked, but the majority of time was indoors in lectures and discussion groups. DF taught a couple of nude Chi Gong classes outside under a tree and pool time.

We were home three days, or so and the solstice was traveling up into the White Mountains for a long sojourn, naked. Got dressed for a couple of hours each evening for bugs and chill, then naked again by the wood burning stove. So it went for three weeks. More on that will follow as time allows. Long naked walks, naked glamping...reading and writing, contemplating...naked.

Good stuff. Just got back last night, the 25th of July. Unpacking and unraveling...naked. It's too hot for clothing! 110F plus every day that we were gone and now, we're in it, too. We were waiting for the monsoon to come home, which hasn't come.

Here in western Canada, the prairies were divided into one mile squares early on, separated by "grid roads" which allow access to individual farms, businesses, etc. Some of these gravelled lanes can be quite isolated in more sparsely populated areas, and it was on some of these that I became the "Nightwalker", out in the open air but well hidden by darkness. Still, naked hikes are a lot warmer by daylight, especially these days. The problem becomes the light but persistent traffic.

I began checking out Google Earth, and I found a few large areas in southern Saskatchewan where the grids just sort of quit...that is, they give way to meandering roads that seemed to wind their way around hills and lakes in landscapes less suited to agricultural use. So yesterday I decided to make a two hour drive into the centre of one of these to check out the possibility of making a truly isolated daytime hike.

What I found was a gorgeous area of the province I did not even know existed! This land, many kilometres across in all directions, essentially has no one on it but cows, lots and lots of cows. It is a rolling landscape of hills and lakes and sagebrush, and yesterday it was hot: 32 degrees (90 F) in the shade, not that there was any shade. The photo does not do it justice at all. The marks in the dusty road indicated no one but me had driven there in days. Needless to say, I got some serious hiking in, au naturale.

I only wish there was something like this closer to the city, except of course, it's the very fact that it is isolated that keeps it so pure. Were it closer to town, this beautiful natural area would be quickly overrun by "adventurers" with ATVs, drones, etc. Ah, well. Might as well treat it as a best kept secret, one handy for an occasional visit. At least I drove all the way there and back in the buff (undressing in the garage before leaving). That brings my carnuding total on two trips this week to just over 600 kms naked!

I feel my best when naked in the world, especially in wide, open spaces, wherever and whenever possible.

Big sky, wide open spaces, room for elbows and breathing. How did it sound? Did it make you want to run?

Cattle tend to destroy individual unique features, leaving a plant here and there, a fun rock. Did you find any treasures? Any potential for a dip in one of those bodies of water?

How many miles do you think were adventured. Did you carry water, or a Sawyer filter? Ever camp or backpack? It would seem that you could get a sense like following a buffalo herd out on the vast prairie of another century.

Only two or three kms of actual hiking, I'm afraid ... too darn hot! As to souvenirs, yes, a couple of big rocks for the garden and two huge bags of dried ... well, cow poop. Why pay a garden centre when I can get manure for free? :-)

I had an interesting day on Sunday (23rd July) I attended a naked Heart Walk in Worcestershire. It was arranged by British Naturism to support their charity of the year, The British Heart Foundation. We had a short walk plus as a bonus a swim in the not too cold lake as another of BN's Great British Skinny Dip.

It was the first time naturism had taken place at the venue but there's hope it won't be the last.

Great PR. You apparently raised money and draw attention to the cause. They didn't object to their association with BN and nudity. To me, That IS a BIG Deal. Thumbs up to all of you.

Now, end of July. We avoided the swelter record heatwave (nearly as bad as Phoenix), by continuing our glamping in the White Mountains. After 3 weeks and three days up there, about July 15th, we came back down the mountain. We had gotten attached to the place, DF cried tears as we said goodbye to a sense of home and I just had a rumble of anger that I had to go back to civilization and the difficulties of the heat. We had been pleasantly naked all day, until around 6 and the mosquitoes and flies came out. Then then after the sunset and moon/star show, we got in the tent. The tent wooden heater stove got us up to probably 130F way quick. We were throwing off our clothes. Then, bedtime under a cozy wool and fleece bedding. We would just wander out into the forest, sometimes for miles, nude as we pleased.

We drove back without clothing (except stopping to eat Mexican food), traveling through a forested area looking for potential glamping sites. Then back to Tucson that evening, while it was cooled off. We didn't use the airconditioner until nearly home, just the breeze on bare bodies.

The heat was.... something to get used to. It can only be mitigated nude. So, we have been mostly that since. When my airconditioners broke, it has been a challenge at 110F plus during the day. Then, DF's electricity got knocked out during a couple of storms. We've been coping. We hosted a pair of sweats, since returning. We've been getting a lot of use out of the outdoor shower, even though the water isn't really cold, just slightly cooler than otherwise and with a breeze, a nice chill down. No sense being dressed when getting in and out of that shower. The transition from sauna 170F to 105F outside, makes the heat feel cool in the shade. Wearing clothing in a hot place is just simply dumb.

14 joined together for a naturist walk last week near Sandon, south Staffordshire. It was perfect walking weather, warm but not hot. was lovely eating lunch with a pair of buzzards circling overhead.  We picked some wild field mushrooms and a giant puffball

A great day out.

Your exceptional heatwave, Jbee, is others exceptionally rainy and miserable summer!
This month I have had unseasonably scarce opportunity for naked activity. The jet stream has divided Europe (in which I include the UK btw), into two with huge heatwaves in S. Europe and really cool, wet weather in the UK and N. Europe.  July has been wet and miserable mostly with record rainfall.  In addition it's been a busy month for having to be dressed with my son's wedding, people visiting and so many other inhibitions to getting nude.  Mind you, despite the rain I have pushed the boundaries of being naked around the home and I do believe the dear wife is becoming rather more accustomed to me with no clothes on.  Her objections seem scarcer and less vehement these days.  Incrementalism continues it would appear!
Gotta hope for some nice days in August and a few of the all-too-rare, these days, opportunities to take a naked walk in nature.

Worst July ever for outdoor nudity - well, at least since I started logging the hours in 2016. A measly 4.5 hours in July 2023. There was hardly any sunshine, and what little there was tended to be on days when I had commitments.
August can't be worse. This Thursday is forecast to be 25C but the best I'll manage is sitting outside as my hernia gets fixed (fingers crossed) on Wednesday.
Hoping for a better experience than JBee had a while back!
