The Spring here in SE Texas has been wet and hot. I have been doing the normal stuff here; feeding the horses, mowing and brush-hogging, etc. Daily nude most of the time. No sailboat or beach trips, just taking care of the homestead. I have been doing a lot of car repairs in the driveway as well. Staying behind visual bariers when I can.

I did take a trip to New Orleans for the World Naked Bike Ride on June 8th. We stayed in Slidell at the Indian Hills Nudist Camp. All in all, an enjoyable and mostly nude trip. I met up with Chris (aka Mudwalkers https://vimeo.com/mudwalkers) for the bike ride. We had communicated a bit on "X" and were looking forward to meeting one another. The ride was completed in approximately one hour, much shorter than other rides I had participated in. But, WOW! the ride was approaching sensory overload. My voice barely held up from all of the cheering and screaming. Oh, and it was very hot! We met at a public park to prepare. It was like most other rallying points for the WNBR, with people socializing nude, getting painted and pimping their rides.

The ride had to be moved forward an hour to allow the police time to shuffle over to escort The Pride Parade which was scheduled after our ride. Our route took us to Bourbon Street along the very same route followed by The Pride Parade. Hundreds of people were lining those streets ahead of The Pride Parade not knowing that they would get a preliminary group of naked bicycle riders. Yes, we got a lot of 'Go Pride' and other shouts from observers that had no idea that we were a separate event. I guesstimate there were approximately 300 riders with us, more males than females but not what I would call out of balance. People rode anything with wheels, more bicycles than anything else, but Pedicabs, skates, scooters, etc.  There was a guy on a motorbike that joined us mid-ride. He was nude, but obviously wasn't clear on our purpose.

A couple of friends had left the WNBR at Bourbon Street to join other of their friends, for the parade. We caught up with them a bit later, in the middle of The Pride Parade.

Friends of Chris' that he knew from past NO-WNBR's were planning a post party that would involve visiting a few bars that had welcomed them previously. There was to be no reason to get dressed. Our first stop was 2 blocks from the park where the WNBR started and ended. That bar asked that we cover up when inside to order beverages, but could socialize on the sidewalk patio as nature intended. Not sure what transpired, but our welcome was deteriorating, so we moved on to the Hi-Ho pub several blocks away.

The ride had concluded by 5 pm and by now it was getting time to look for nourishment. My companion on this adventure (David, aka Senator) is vegetarian which isn't easy in the Big Easy. But our friends on Bourbon Street reported that they had purchased a vegi-pizza in the Quarter before the parade, so we headed that way. OMG! Image me, pushing my bicycle, clad in naked bike ride attire, through a packed Pride crowd! In New Orleans!

We found our friends, but the pizza was now consumed and no one was selling food during the parade. We could have stayed with the crowd and cheer on the parade. Lord knows I was getting plenty of beads! But I am not at all comfortable in that kind of a crowd. Nothing to do with LGBTQ+, just crowds in general.

The friends we had left at Hi-Ho's had given me the Google locator so we could catch up with them. They were headed to Eddie's apartment. He had offered to host the 'after party'. We had no idea where Eddie's was or what to expect when we caught up with them. What I was hoping for was some food options. The Google app was letting me know where to go, but it took awhile to realize that they were actually in route as well. David was trailing as I navigated the 'wonderful' streets of New Orleans in search of the moving target. We found success when we arrived at an apartment complex with a bunch of naked humans disembarking their bicycles.

The group of about 15  marched up 3 flights of stairs, passing other residents along the way, to Eddie's apt. Eddie welcomed us with refreshments, jambalaya and meatballs! I was in heaven, except for being chastised for wearing shoes (flip-flops) while walking on the genuine bear skin rug. By now it was around 9pm and David had not found anything suitable to his diet. So, after socializing for a minimum requisite of time, we departed on our bikes, back to the park, across town, where we had begun the WNBR 8 hours earlier. Again, I was lead and David trailing.

Back at the truck, bikes secured in the back, we headed back to Slidell. Since I was driving, David was navigating, but his phone was connecting. I handed him mine with the camp already loaded. Well, we headed off into some of the sketchiest parts of New Orleans. David was confident that we were on course while he was chatting with his wife on his own phone. I was less confident.

We ended up at a dead-end that fronted Lake Ponchartrain. The interstate was 50 ft above us. Obviously, we had been led astray. I grabbed my phone from the navigator and immediately recognized that it was in bicycle mode with a 3 hrs. 23 mins. estimate to our destination! What! Were we supposed to swim??!!

We were successful in switching to 'driving' mode and arrived 20 minutes at our camp where David had some vegi-lasagna that his wife had sent with him for just such an occasion. Some relaxation in the pool and hot tub, then off to the tent for well deserved slumber.

The park is wonderful, and being the only naturist park in Lousiana, can be a recommended layover for trips through the southern US. We had a primitive campsite next to the pond with geese and ducks to keep us company. The biggest issue on an adventure through Southern Louisiana is navigating Baton Rouge. Traffic there is notorious.

Anyway, enough for now.

Sounds like fun naked free ranging. One of these days, I'll have to make a serious intent and effort to get to a WNBR.

Meanwhile, in the UK, summer seems to have stuttered into being this week. Next week looks good for our camping trip to Broadlands Sun Club in Norfolk. OK, it's not free-range, but the chance to live nude for a few days is not to be sniffed at and you can walk round the "woodland walk" for about a mile if you put some bug-repellant on. There's an 8-mile walk in the Norfolk Broads national park that looks like at least half of it could be free-range (i.e. not next to a river with holiday boats cruising by) so we live in hope.

LOve to read a full report on the trip.

It's a "UK" camping resort, and 8 miles wher...over wha...? That's a very different experience from these parts (southwestern USA), I figure.

26 of us did a World Naked Hiking day walk over Cannock Chase on Friday. A day late but this day seems to be held on the Friday nearest the soltice in the UK. It was lovely sunny and warm. We only met a few peeope all of whom were fine including a group of teenage girls doing a D of E expedition. They suddenly became very interested in thier maps getting into a huddle but they couldn't hide their giggling.
We did somewhere between six to seven miles all Naked except on the car park. It was a real treat of a day.

It is gratifying that even an encounter with a group of teenage girls leads to no negative consequence.  Best of British toleration!

As June goes, this year has been among the worst for being outside naked.
Same here in the UK. It's been very cloudy and intermittent rain with consequent below average temperatures.  At least we are forecast a bit of sun next week....we'll have to see if it actually happens!

Guys, I have just had a record week for FRN and N in general.
Due to the good weather in the UK and our region last week, I have been pushing the naturist boat out with LOTS of being naked at home and on Thursday, the best day for weather, as luck had it I had an almost free day - a very unusual conjunction.  As soon as I realised this would be a fine day from the weather forecasts a few days in advance I planned to walk at one of the places I identified many months ago and finally I got round to walking the grounds of a deserted, spooky derelict Manor House in Nottinghamshire.  I had the longest FRN walk I have ever had and I report it properly in new thread 'Two Walks in Rapid Succession 1' in the Trip Reports section of the forum.
True to British weather form, by Sunday the skies had clouded over and the temperature dropped.  Nevertheless, having booked into a group visit to another manor and gardens naturist evening (similar to AHG), I hied me to the northern edge of our county and joined about 50 other naturists who had the run of this pretty location albeit a bit chilly.  Again the report is on a second report  'Two Walks in Rapid Succession 2' in Trip reports.
I don't think I've ever been this naked in a single week!  Go Me!
I'm sure it won't repeat very soon but I also got the location of a public nature reserve not very far from my location that is officially naturist friendly - a great rarity.  I had no idea it was there (it's mainly a bird sanctuary) but one of the naturists this afternoon was a frequent visitor and told me all about it.  I'm off there as soon as the opportunity permits!

Time flies when...
...another month.

Started in Utah's Bears Ears National Monument. It is certainly monumental and filled with natural monuments.
We slept in a tent for the entire month long trip. So we were dressed  four times while in the town of Blanding, Utah and an hour or so in Bluff. Bridges Monument was a busy clothed park, but we climbed down into the canyon where few go. Nude worked out down there, unless I saw people on the view rim up above in a few spots.

The rest of the time, only the elements and a time or two bug issues made us decide cover up some. On the trails we generally quickly did a wrap during encounters, then dropped the drapes as soon as we could. We had to practice some stealth during teh busy Memorial Day weekend. There is so much roaming area up there. My truck was sitting in 4 wheel drive most of the time, 4 high for the slippery dirt roads and 4-low a few times. We found some incredible places.

Visited several remote Native ancient ruins and rock art sites. Wandered upon incredible surreal and colorful geology. Spent a week lounging in the mountain's forests. We took a good nude walk nearly every day, two to ten miles generally.

Getting back to Arizona, we stopped to spend a couple of days in the White Mountains around our favorite spots, walking freely. Things have calmed down from the covid peaks of traffic a few years ago, when there wasn't anything else to do but seek nature. Another sign is that the price of RV and trailers is back down as the demand decreases.

Since returning, I've mostly been at home nude, getting unpacked, detailing the 4runner, pulling weeds and making a monsoon garden area. Just one trip out to a desert community for a sweat and wandering about naked visiting with friends.

Summer came briefly for us last week, but only because we were 250 miles south-east of home. Our neighbours here in Cumbria say they had little sun.
Today it's been 13C (about 55F I think) and it's July! I've often said we can have October in any month of the year here but I hate it when it happens in July.

JBee - the Norfolk Broads are shallow lakes, linked by quite small rivers, in the county of Norfolk, England. They were formed by ancient peat digging activity in the marshy land centuries ago, and are now famous for nature (but not naturism) and leaisure boating. There are many possible hikes but most of these are along busy riverbanks. I spotted a route on a map, involving only a short stretch of riverbank, so thought it worth exploring for free-range purposes. We did an 8-mile round trip on a cloudy day, seeing hardly anyone, so decided to go back the next day in better weather. That was Saturday so there were more boats on the water but still virtually nobody on the inland paths, so we had 5-6 miles naked in almost perfect weather.

Apart from that, and the time spent on the campsite last week, no FRN at all in June and precious little naked time of any description - just an odd hour or two in the back yard.

You must think I'm a very negative person because I'm always complaining about the UK weather.  Despite the 3 or 4 decent days in just one week that caused my spirits to look up a bit and get out whilst the going was good, into the countryside naked, we've had a really bad June and July so far.  It hasn't been exceptionally rainy but it's been very cool, grey and damp with intermittent showers.  A very poor summer.  I jolly well hope it perks up soon - I want to repeat my walk of a couple of weeks ago!  Mind you, I've been totally grounded with Covid for a full week since last Monday and still testing positive.  Up to the last couple of days, I wasn't in any state to walk anywhere - naked or clothed!  I'm on the mend but still isolating as I know so many people from older or vulnerable groups and I won't mix with them till I know I'm clear.

We are having summer in the UK!  So far 3-4 days of sunny weather.  We'll be in thunderstorms and grey cloud tomorrow (1st Aug) and Friday.
However, spotting the short run of summer and, unusually, having no appointments, meetings or anything fixed in my diary for today, I decided yesterday to go for another naked walk today in the spooky derelict manor I described a couple of weeks back.
I had a lovely walk.  When I arrived there were no other cars around.  Saw no one and so didn't have to worry about cover ups or anything.  You may recall that last time I went there I got a bit lost and couldn't find some of the places my friend and I had been to when walking clothed.  Well, I found most of them today after winding through some woodland and crossing a meadow of long grass and 4-6ft high meadow plants. The place has become very overgrown as it is only sparsely maintained and some of the features and paths had just got lost in the undergrowth. But it was so quiet and peaceful - birdsong, the swishing of the leaves in the trees, trickle of water from the brook that feeds the lake, caress of the long grass and shrubs on my legs as I walked.  Lovely!  I was lost in a naked reverie.
I'd like to share a couple of pictures.  One of the features I rediscovered is a HaHa.  Yes, that's its name!

A HaHa is a wall, with a ditch on one side (left hand in the picture although the ditch is filled with weeds and grass so doesn't look as deep as it is (about 10 feet).  It can be an earth bank too.  Its purpose was to keep cattle from wandering on to the manorial grounds and ornamental gardens (long gone) from the adjacent meadow without using a fence, so preserving an uninterrupted view of the landscape beyond.  The reason for featuring it is that they are now quite rare. However, I believe there is one at the Washington Monument in the US with the reverse purpose of keeping visitors away whilst giving them the view.
Here's me sitting on the Haha, naked, in the sunshine, in nature, resting, eating an apple and having a drink of water during my walk.  Aaahhhh! What could be nicer?  Not much in my view!

I too have been making the most the fickle British weather. A week last Sunday I joined almost 60 others for a naked heart walk. These are walks arranged by British Naturism to support The British Heart Foundation. We enjoyed a short walk around The Waters Edge and then out of the grounds and up through a wildflower meadow for a view over the local Worcestershire countryside.  On return we enjoyed a wild water swim in the centre's lake. I wam out to the nearest bouy and back - about 650 metres.  Some did more  others less. A marvellous day out.

At the end of that week I did a seven mile walk in South Derbyshire starting at Tcknall and walking up to the River Trent and passing Anchor Caves originally used by early Christians. There's a wild swimming spot there but being on my own I didn't indulge.

A few days later I did another seven mile walk in South Staffordshire a short distance from home. I had no encounters on either walk which surprised me as it was sunny and warm but the air was fresh.

This morning I've been woken up to thunder, lightning and rain!

Since returning from Utah trip, there has been lots of catch up, unpacking, a hosting of a memorial, repairs and sorting the trip, notes photos, getting it together mostly. Then in the second week, I got dental done, laid around ill from the antibiotics, then a follow-up brought more headache pain, but it continued, so I highly expect that i actually had covid again! Over two weeks of light misery in the nude. Se, everything IS better when naked. ;)

The weather has been hot and often humid as monsoon has gratefully arrived, but the storms have caused even more projects and repairs.

Bottom line, We finally got up to the water of Redington Pass today for a day with a friend. The rain arrived not long after, five hours earlier than the forecast. We had a nice, but interesting, hike out in the warm rain, which pelted and stang our nude bodies. It hit sideways and may have been light hail. Probably spent an hour in that storm nearly totally naked. Good thing, no cold wet clothes.

The entire month was rarely clothed, but at home. A couple of hours here and there for the dentist, buy food. A pair of short pants for a home gas inspection. The sweat is back up and running.

Yeah, Nuduke! Was the ditch and haha a mote, or just a dangerous step?
