WOW!, now, May is just about over. Seems quick!
Great month of May this year. DF had her plans for Greece with her daughter dashed by covid restrictions. Most of our usual life has been dashed, but it means that I have spent the month with one batch of laundry to do and that was nearly all camping stuff. I've just slipped on a kilt when necessary to take out the garbage, visit with neighbor friends once and the grocery store maybe three times. I went out the other day with the recycling in hand, plain forgetting that I wasn't dressed.
We have been sleeping out all month. I bought a 13 foot bell tent and set it up in the backyard to fit it out. The UPS has been pathetic to deliver the stove jack, so it has just been up and tempting us. I have it all set for glamping and it feels really good out there. We have slept outside every night, hanging out in the backyard eating often. Then the other times, we have been out on the trail.
The weather has been right to head to higher elevations trees springs creek, etc., but not in the forests at 8 to 10 thousand feet, just the foothills and canyons.
05-02 an evening stroll under the fuller moon that got stretched out and naked spontaneously,
05-11 Up Bug Springs Trail in the Catalina Mountains
A trip to the Huachucas Mountains to:
05-15 Oversite Canyon
05-16 Ida Canyon
05-17 Miller Canyon, old trail
05-18 Miller Canyon New Trail
This weekend, we'll spend three days ending the month on a nude backpacking expedition at around 9000 ft.
It is getting hot down here and I'm planning to head up into the hills and alpine regions in June and July for a glamping retreat that I've been pining for for a couple of years.
