For me, it just feels good to be there, and there is a kind of knowing. Like coming over a ridge to see an inspiring view, I'll just find myself there. Different from a belly ache going away adjusting attitude, subtle but definitive. Or, just asking can lead to a feeling like a compelling, a letting go and being taken to. To find it, "I" have to get out of the way.
The dowsing is fun. I have an "L" rod of stiff coat hanger. It is encased in a tube of hard plastic on one end which allows it to pivot easily. Keeping it level so as not to let gravity move it from side to side, I grip it lightly, but firm enough. I can ask,"Show me the positive, healthy energies." Doing this out loud works. I begin walking in a straight line and it will swing, if anything is to be found, something like an invisible hand pushes it aside, or it is as if it bumps a wall. I can ask to be shown negative, or harmful energies, a water line, cables, etc. It is fun when, sure enough, I find out that it has been correct. DF sucks at this, the only one I know so far to have trouble with it, to her frustration. But she uses a bob on a chain and has had good intuitive results, dowsing bodies for imbalance, etc., I don't, but then I'm skeptical, or at least lack confidence in it. It is less obviously defined for me to "bob."
Over years, I have improved ability to transfer energy through me, often mostly through hands. On Wednesday nights I run a circle where we create wonderful responses putting hands over others heads. I learned this in India, and train people to do this. This can be projected across the room to the group, too. It is said that it heals and nourishes all being. I give this to my garden and yard, etc. One day, I decided to try doing this to a tree complex that we call "island of life" in the desert. It came back at me 10 fold. I learned something in that moment. The tree complexes are described here:
