tanman of the Texas Chapter of The Secret Naturist Society
« on: August 04, 2015, 11:05:20 PM »
Hi all,

tanman here, from the Texas Chapter of the International Secret Naturist Society.  I'm a 63yo Naturist and previously frequent contributor to the now defunct The Secret Naturist Society (TSNS) hosted by Lookee and originated by Corbie.  From 2007-2010, I posted 2000-3000 times on TSNS forum where I considered Dave/balead as my mentor in Secret Naturism.  My contributions to TSNS slowed dramatically with major changes in my life from 2010/2011.

I'm a nakedist ... I have to/need to be naked ALL the time, regardless of where I am or what I'm doing ... if I can do it naked, it will be done!  Everything worth doing, is worth doing naked!  Anything I do, I enjoy more when I'm naked.  Kayaker (wifey) likes to be naked when possible and considers me obsessed, but, I just force what's possible using the CRAFT of Secret Naturism.  It may appear to be obsession, but it's not, rather fulfillment of NEED.

I'm and "outdoors person"!  I love weather, nature, mountains, water, grass pastures, forests ... preferably naked, and preferably without other people.  While naked, I sail, swim, drive, walk, bike ride, kayak, hike, do chores, mow grass, trim trees, build fires, float on the pool, sit in the hot tub, listen to music, watch movies, conduct work by phone, cook out, etc., etc., etc.  I like people in small numbers, and I have been a member of a CO resort for a while.  But, in the past few years, Kayaker and I have spent a lot of time together (naked) at 23 acres of mostly wooded country property where she has creatively designed a tropical "oasis."  There, in a clearing in the woods on a large concrete pad area, is a 10' kiddie pool, a 6' hot tub, shade umbrellas, tropical decorations, electricity, water, nature, and ... surround sound!  It's a great naked playground!

We just spent 3 weeks condo-camping at the beach, where even with textile people in the vicinity, I worked on my allover tan and played naked in the surf using basic SN craft.

My wife is not a nudist or a naturist, but, she does like to be naked indoors and outdoors when possible, and best of all, she LIKES me to be naked!  I've been extremely blessed!

I have fun, naked!

Welcome to the new location, Larry.

Why not be obsessed - it's a good thing to be obsessed with, unlike a whole load of destructive things that most of the anglophone population seem to be obsessed with.

I had to look up Anglophone, in Merriam Websters  : consisting of or belonging to an English-speaking population especially in a country where two or more languages are spoken---
Does that mean both are speaking English?

Anglophone?  Is that like AT&T, Vodaphone or Verizon?

Is this evidence of a bio-genetic security lock?
A phone that only works when an anglo picks it up?

Where's the fun in that?

No, no. An anglophone is a phone that gets bent!

You will regret reminding me of three components which went into different versions of the pre-payment gas meters which were made in the factory where i worked.I
They were the male dog, the female dog and the bent dog.
The last was popularly known as the Bowsie-Wowsie.

Something else I did not know about phones; it seems they can suffer from decompression injuries, just like careless scuba divers.

Have fun,

Ian.

I've been told before to 'get bent'.
I don't think it had anything to do with a phone.   :(

After not logging in for a while I'm greeted by a flood of new posts - and now this. Welcome Larry!

I'm flattered that you think that Larry, but I'm sure you inspired me just as much.

There were several on the SNS site that I always wanted to read.

Balead, Ian, Larry, Alf (gone missing?) and others whose names avoid me. All were regular contributors that I considered as role models for an activity that was initially rather risky (for me).

After following advice of the above and discovering that what I was doing was ok, I came to realize that they were all passing on what they had discovered and I was the beneficiary.

Thanks, to all.

Me, too, flattered to be lumped in with Ian and Dave! Excellent company!

Well, this reminds me and is related to what I just posted in another thread ... how do we overcome the risks, the fear of being caught outdoors naked, and the fear of feeling weird?  Newbies need to find that they're 'OK,' that they are not ALONE having this 'unusual' NEED to be naked outdoors, and they need help to learn CRAFT to realize the fulfillment of their NEED, so they can feel comfortable to enjoy the outdoor elements, naturally.  The experiences found in the fantastic photo journalistic Trip Reports are the ultimate experiential goal of the naturist, but, how do we achieve that experience?  First we have to get out of the 'closet,' then out of the house, then out of town ... and along the way are a LOT of feelings to overcome, a LOT of relationship issues to address, and a LOT of CRAFT to learn ... role models and mentors, volunteer HERE!

Have fun, naked!
Larry
