My dad and a 2 of his brothers (9 kids total), were like that. Get them together and it was a comedy routine. Hence my wife's conviction that it's genetic. When I got older it was great fun when they were around.

I am not as familiar with Cook & Moore as I am with The Pythons although I have seen their work on occasion, e.g., "Bedazzled" and some reruns. They weren't as popular here as MPFC, I don't know why, they definitely were good enough.

Peter Cooke was a comedy genius but in a rather british way.  He was a renegade in the 60's, a pioneer of the satire boom of that time.  His monologues as E. L. Wisty and the sketches with Dudley Moore (Pete & Dud) were ground breaking in their time.  Sadly Cook rather faded away in the 80's and never gained the height of success that say Morecambe & Wise or e.g. Joan Rivers did but he has influenced and been revered by the Pythons amongst others and much other comedy talent since then.
