I published the first couple of days of a Sedona trip, which will be in three parts, one each week. This was in TSNS. All three have been refurbished with more.

Thanks for the report Jbee. It brought back memories from our day trip. In fact the two things I remember besides the red landscape were the energy levels and the high prices!

Jbee,

Your ability to create blog posts of complete journeys makes me regret not keeping my contributions to TSNS elsewhere.  Not that I was a prolific photo poster but in the early days there were a few prosodies that perhaps it would be nice to look back on.

However, the fact that you did and do means that we are treated to the experience of this awesome geology!  Ain't nothing in the UK so red that ain't been painted!

Thanks for the blogs

John

P.S here's a thought....You there, Larry?  I'd love to vicariously 'revisit' the barn garage from your reports one of your naked weekends.  I used to love those.  Seclusion, privacy and contemplation (and grass cutting).  Dig out  a few of your old pictures for us, old friend.  But those many weekends away - were they entirely driven by the naked wanderlust?  I wonder if they might be, for you, not the best memories?  But if they are nostalgia of the good kind, maybe a reminder for we old hangers on!?  ;)

I kept a few of mine from the old site.
I shall have to recall the photos I posted along with them.

Go to the set where you portray a piece of desert scrub as a full grown shade tree, Gulliver.

I have a friend staying in Sedona for a massage conference and extended visit.  It is an incredible place.  I love the red rock.

JBee and JOhnI just love your posts and the trip reports.  It's like traveling with vicarious memories, especially with the photo journaling.  I like them very much.  I read through Stuart and Carla's site descriptions a couple of months ago on a sleepless night.  Slept in Scotland overnight :)

Actually, JBee, I have been much more active of late about trying to find SN walking ranges and it's very frustrating!  Being as how my back is much better, although puzzlingly slow to recover - probably the excercises and osteopath!), last week I walked some lakes a 20' car drive away.  The terrain was flat as a pancake and surrounded by 3 farms and some houses so a naked man would be recognisable for a considerable distance.  It was cold, bleak and not a great place.  Lots and lots of water birds, so a great place for ornithology.  However, I walked for about 45' and met and saw no one.  I didn't feel the need to disrobe in this location.

I have done further in-car reconnoitring of nearby locations and similarly, either they are fenced private land, roads too narrow or some other impediment to stopping and wandering.

I was so sure our new rural adjacency was going to pay big dividends in SN places despite the flat terrain.  But no.  I hadn't reckoned with intensive arable agriculture!  It's been tough to locate places.  However, nil desperandum.  I will prevail!

AND you will appreciate when you find the right spots even more.

Weather and thicker foliage is on its way?

I wonder if I've conquered picture posting.
Here is a pic of the area I walked last Tuesday as described.

gap left by editing out duff BBCode

I trust you will agree - less than secluded spot!

John

OK THAT'S THE END.  I AM TOTALLY AND UTTERLY SICK OF TRYING AND FAILING TO POST PHOTOS.  I HAVE TRIED IAN'S METHOD I HAVE TRIED BOB'S METHOD (thank you, lads), SEARCHED BBCODE TRAINING SITES, I HAVE MESSED ABOUT FOR HOURS WITH FLICKR, ALL LEVELS OF PERMISSION, AND ONEDRIVE AND THE ATTACHMENT FUNCTIONS HERE AND ON TSNS. IT HAS NOW BEEN YEARS OF TRYING ON AND OFF -   I JUST CAN'T GET ANY SORT OF FORMULA OR COMBINATION THAT ENABLES ME TO POST JUST A PICTURE LIKE THE REST OF YOU CAN POST SUCH THAT WHEN YOU CLICK IT YOU GET JUST A PICTURE  AND NOT ACCESS TO MY ENTIRE COLLECTION AND THE ABILITY OF THE WHOLE POPULATION OF THE WORLD TO ATTACH UNWANTED COMMENTS TO MY PICTURE.  WHAT AM I DOING WRONG??????????????? WHAT WHAT WHAT WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH] :(:(:(:(:(

Do you detect a tad of frustration in my last post?
Yes I was purple and shouting and the veins were standing out on my neck.  Normally I'm not like that (...M'Lud)
Ideally I would like to add a photo or two from my One Drive photos (which all have a sharing/ embedding URLs) and, as stated put it into a post so the photo will be of moderate size on the page and open in a new tab or window on your computers if clicked but give no properties and no access to the photo site from which it was posted.

I've asked this question before so I don't really expect an answer from Ian or Bob as they have already helped me but to no avail when following their instructions to the letter.  But if anyone else has a clue what's going wrong I would be grateful to know - I have tried it from 3 computers BTW (all windows) although not necessarily all methods from each one.

Equally in sorrow and anger,

John

I've got a One drive which I don't use at the moment but I'll put a couple of pictures up and see what works.
