I have negotiated with a local owner of a semi-moribund caravan site to use her place for clothes-free camping.
It is in a secluded location on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds, a large fenced site, safe for dogs and children. The nearby village has a shop, a good pub and  Fish and Chip shop. The site itself has basic but perfectly adequate facilities. Easy access down a well-made lane from a main road (also a main bus route from the historic city of York to the coast).
The fist gathering is due on one of the May 2016 Bank Holidays.

Good sized (3x3 meters plus stand up) tent on sale (after Xmas) $30 to $50. Cooler $10 to $15. Stove, $40 to $80. Air mattress, $30. Lawn chairs, $5 to $20. Already have blankets, sheets, pillows, towels, cookware. Flashlight. One throw rug (I like oriental) and candles in a tin can with sand for an anchor make for a romantic ambiance. The facilities should have a toilet, shower, maybe a grill or more. carpet scraps make a patio. Accommodations for less than 100 bucks. Shop wisely. There is more than enough room in a common car, like a Honda Civic to haul this and much more.

The Mark you are thinking of is currently on a round the world tour on his motorcycle. Actually he has just shipped the bike home from Australia while he continues to New Zealand  (he is intending to hire a camper there to continue his travels). One small benefit of being a member of BN is access to the BN forum,  where Mark posts occasional updates.

Ian, our erstwhile TSNSer Mark Yorksnakedm seems to have been on his world tour forever!  It was supposed to be 6 months about 2 or 3 years ago!!

I think I am going to have to join BN.  I look at the website as a guest but as you say there must be a lot that you miss by not joining the community.

His original plan got delayed, I do not recall the reason. I guess he has been traveling about 9 months now.

I think I am going to have to join BN.  I look at the website as a guest but as you say there must be a lot that you miss by not joining the community.

It would encourage all UK Naturists to join. As the only body the government will ever consult about nudity and the law membership numbers are important. There may also be benefits in being a card carrying naturist when Mr Plod wants to chat about your chosen attire, though I hope I will never need that nor to call on the BN legal team for assistance.

Just discovered this site after my time with the TSNS. Joined BN five minutes ago (upon the sound advice given by milfmog, JOhnGw, Davie et al) as I like the idea of having a card and the voice more members give to such a good cause. I am keen on having more camping sites in the north of the UK that accept fair skinned folk like me and folk who do not mind applying the sun cream to areas I cannot reach and those that appear in need of more.

Mark (a fellow South Yorkshire man) is indeed on his travels and that heart scare surely prompted his get up and go and do it. He has finally got away.

Wholeheartedly agree... I've carried the BN card as a "legitimisation" of myself travelling - I used it at a campsite in New Zealand where I turned up and the hostess was making noises about not taking  new members etc until I offered the BN card.. Apart from that it is as Davie says the organisation that is the voice of naturism.
